Good Morning Illinois!  It seems like years since I last posted.  I don't know what happened, I just seemed to of gotten lost.  All is well on my end.  I saw the doctor the other day and all of my blood work came back in the normal range!  That's the first time in years that I didn't need to watch this or take a pill for that.  I was able to control the cholesteral naturally and my diabetes is still a thing of the past.  My weight loss has slowed to a crawl, but I'm still losing in small amounts.  I am hoping to start a regular excersize program when my school starts.  I begin the massage training sometime around the end of January.  I still have the same amount of resistance in my band as I've had all along.  And still never a fill.  I have a little fear that I will have to have the band removed or replaced when I get to goal and still can't eat most foods.  But that is a while off and I'm okay for now.  I get plenty of food in for nutrician.  I just wish I could go without the occasional pain and regurgatation that happens if I'm not careful.  Liz and the kids are doing well.  Nic and Meredith saw Santa the night before last.  Afterwards, Nic asked me if that was the real Santa or a fake.  I told him there was a chance that it was one of Santa's helpers covering for the real Santa.  I fear that the belief in Mr. Clause may only have a season or two left!  There's a slight sadness in seeing my little boy become a little man, but I'm getting proud moments every day in trade.  Meredith is still not sure about a big old man in a bright red suit putting her on his lap!  But she had fun just the same.  Well, I'm off to work.  Have a great day and a great weekend!

Good morning Illinois!

Paul who??  Just kidding, nice to see you.

We took 2 of my nieces to see Santa Claus, my one niece told me that it wasn't the right one.  She saw the real one last Saturday...lol

I now have no restrictions from the plastic surgeon.  He said if it hurts to do something, don't do it...lol  I guess now it is job time.  DH gets good pay from the state, but everything is so high anymore.  I don't know how families do it.

We found a ham!  Hubby ordered one from Hickory Farms.

We got to bring Tinker (chihuahua) home last night.  She is doing better, but I bet my 5 pound dog now weighs only 3 pounds.  She won't leave my side.  Her brothers and sisters was so happy to see her.  Thanks for all the well wishes for her.

Well, I am off to the ortho doc about my shoulder finally!  I will update when I get back.

Good Morning Illinois,

Paul, I remember well when my kids didn't believe anymore in Santa. My youngest never believed in him, she always had questions. The oldest one believed until she was 10 or so. Then her sister told her!  The Granddaughter told me last year that there wasn't a Santa, it was just parents giving them the presents. My first question to her was had she told her parents. She said no, they still believed she still believed.

This morning we will be going to a wake and funeral, for an old friend. Thid has been at least 5 this year. I guess we are getting to the age where things do happen.

On a better note, I want to get a couple of rooms cleaned up. that way. tomorrow I can spend most of the day baking and cooking. Anything I can cook and freese ahead of the holidays I do, to make it easier on me. Christmas week is always hectic anyway, so anything I can do ahead is done.  I also have a Dr visit next Friday, which will bite into my weekend.

I hope everyone has a great Friday, and stay warm and safe.

Hugs

Good morning Paul and Illinois!

It's Friday!    Yipee!  The weekend is almost here.  It has been a looooong week.  I still have to work tomorrow morning but that is ok.  The $$ is always nice especially at this time of the year.

It looks like it is a brisk morning out there so dress warmly.

Dee, I am glad your dog is home.  Paul, I love it when there are kids that believe in Santa at Christmas.  That is part of the magic of the season.

Hope everyune has a great day.

Hi Paul and fellow IL friends! I am so amazed that you don't need to have a fill. I've been struggling with mine, too much and then not enough. Ughhh. I think the life of a bandster is much harder than the RNYers.

Dee, I am so happy that your little puppy is home. I pray that she makes a full recovery.

Lisa, I was a bit puzzled by your Christmas as in your post to Dee about the ham you mentioned being Jewish?? Maybe I got it wrong.

Well, for me - I'm trying to make a decision on going for a mortgage on my home. It's something I need to do in order to pay my bills and start paying the prinicipal off on my home equity loan. Otherwise, I'm just paying the interest and my other bills are piling up. Ughhhh!!

Tomorrow I'm seeing my sister and my mom always drops in for a visit. No chance that it won't happen. I'll just have to grin and bear it. She's going to California early in January and staying for at least 3 months. So I'll be getting some relief!

Stay warm everyone!

Hugs,
Lucy

Lucy, no problem, I am Jewish, married to a Catholic. We raised our kids with both religions. I have never felt the need to convert to his, or him to mine. Plus the fact that neither of us is strong in our religions, We must be doing something right, we have been married for almost 43 years.

Hi Lisa. I didn't know. I think it's wonderful that you've been married almost 43 years, especially since you're both from very different faiths. You must have a wonderful husband.

I am happy for you my dear friend.

Hugs,
Lucy

Good Morning Paul and the rest of my IL family,

Today our breeder says she's dropping off Ava, the mother dog of Phantom, for us to watch...we shall see though, she's been putting it off now for almost a week.  I don't want her to be here longer than a week because of Christmas coming, it's hard enough to clean and keep clean with our 2 dogs...oh well.   Jacob's rats are doing well, still quite scared, but can ya blame them?  lol

Tonight is another wrestling meet for Tyler, he got pinned at last nights and wasn't happy about it, but it was just exhibition and not that "real" match.  Tonight we go to Naperville North and then tomorrow bright and early we have to be at Conant High School up in Hoffman Estates for an all day tournament.  THen my ex will take both Tyler and Jacob home with him for the rest of the weekend.

That's it around here..have a wonderful, safe and warm day everyone!

Good morning friends!

Good to see you back, Paul.

Sounds like everyone is just about ready for Christmas--me too. I've got a couple of packages to mail but they are ready to wrap. I made a pair of Christmas socks for myself and decided they were so cute that I'd make another pair which are slightly different, so that's what I did last night--got one sock done. I also made knitted covers for scrapers for a couple of friends. You put them on like a glove!

Today I have a couple of errands and then I'll probably knit all afternoon. that makes for a day I really enjoy!

Stay warm!
