Good morning Illinois Friends!
It is another Illinois winter morning after a day of rain, sleet and snow! I hope you all made it home safe from your travel ventures last night. It was nasty out there.
Well, it looks like as a state we are in the headlines and not in a good way. What a mess. I personally hope we can get another corrupt politician out of office like yesterday! I do not understand how we keep relecting such people.
Happy hump day to all! We are halfway through the week! So things will move fast the rest of the week. Time to start thinking of those weekend plans.

Hello everyone
Is it Friday yet??? Considering the rain then the snow the roads were not that bad. It took me an extra ten minutes to get home last night and this morning I had no problems at all. I don't know maybe I'm already getting used to this bad weather.
So I have a list of things I need to find time to do after work someday. Including the laundromat. I hate doing laundry. It always takes all night at the laundromat. I get home at 8pm. I still have to get my secret santa gift at Fox Valley Mall. And range of other things I have to get done. It would be nice if my daughter was home because she would help out.
Well eveyone stay warm and have a nice day.

Well, it was a lot worse up north by me. Roads snow covered and icy. Difficult drive to work this morning. I had to shovel myself out of my door - the winds blew the snow by me. Then had to shovel part of the driveway. I just love the village plow dumping the wet icy snow at the bottom of my driveway!!
I watched the Biggest Loser last night and felt so bad for the remaining man on the show. How strange for the show to leave it up to the viewers as to who will be eliminated. And, it's a husband and wife team. So the husband is asking everyone to vote for his wife Heba to stay on the show. It's amazing how hard they work and their transformations in a short 10 weeks. They've all done well.
Nothing planned for me today other than work and homeowners association business.
Wishing everyone a safe and stay warm day. Hope Monica and Dawn are feeling better.

Good morning!
I had several cancellations last night so I got home before dark and relatively easily. It was nice to have a whole evening at home. I finished a pair of socks which are red and green so I'm set for Christmas dressing and also finished felting some mini socks for ornaments.
I have a lunch meeting today and then I am to interview incoming students so it will be a nice day.

It was slow coming in to work today. Glad I left early, I'm sure it's going to be ugly for those that have to be in around 8.
Nothing much going on.. working both jobs today. Don't really feel any different after starting the thyroid meds but this is only day five so I guess I need to just take it one day at a time.

I have been dreaking early this morning. A series of dreams that took me through many past phases of my life thinking of friends and business connections past and present. One person in my dream I have not thought of in years.
Extra prayers I think are needed this morning for our politicians as well as all of those who have to drive this morning. Sometimes blac**** slides under our lives.

Went to the gym last night but left a few minutes earlier than usual so I could get home and watch Biggest Loser. I love that show. The people are inspiring but they should be. They workout 6-8 hours a day, they don't have to work or cook. I love the weigh-ins and the look backs to when they first came on the show.
I'm hoping to get to Brookfield Zoo on Saturday night for "Holiday Magic"
I love going there to see all the lights and the ice sculptures and the entertainment. Great exercise as there is a lot of walking to do.

Driving was fun today. Everything moved fine unless I had to stop (for cars ahead of me). Then, Rt 25 was so poorly plowed that the car didn't want to move again unless I floored it. I made it safe and sound and about 10 minutes later than I usually get there, but with plenty of time. I work 1/2 day then off to LifeWeigh.
I'm trying to figure out when I should stop drinking liquids before my weigh-in to maximize the chance of voiding the liquids and not having them still be in my system.
I'm doing ok with the pre-op diet, but am having pain after gentle swimming for 45 minutes. I have had to switch to something else to stay in the pool for an hour. (like jumping in place for a few minutes)

I was totally unable to get on this morning. I had plans to be on by 7, but had an unexpected phone call, telling us a friend had past away. She had been in ill health for over a year, and itwas expected. Anyway, By the time I was on the phone, I started running late, so I had to get to work. Especially since I didn't know how the roads would be. And they were fine. '
After work today I hhad to stop at Kmart to get a small string of lights. I have a snowman that is holding a lite tree and the lights went dark yesterday. I think it has been running every holiday season for the last 10 or 12 years,it is on a timer from 3 to midnite every day during the season. I did get the lights changed, so Mr. Snowman is back watching the front door for us.
Heading out to dinner.
