You're definitely a lightweight! I'm happy to hear that you loved Dr. Wallace. Just keep checking with the Bariatric office to see if your consults, reports, etc. comes in shortly after your appointments to pu**** along.

Keep us posted on your journey! Best Wishes.

I'm switching to the Kane center. Seems things move so much faster and smoother. I have my seminar date on December 17 :)

Oh boy, I know what you are going through with this hurry up and wait thing.  But, I want to inform you to be prepared for Tricares denial.

This is why.....Tricare uses the metropolitian weight chart, and with you height and weight you do not meet their criteria and they do not budge.  No way around it.

Right now, you would if you had comorbs.  But, without the comorbs you would need to be 200% over your ideal weight.  Which at 5'1" defaulted at the medium frame the low end of the weight range is 115 lbs. Which mulitplied by 2 gives you 230 lbs for your 200% mark.

If they weigh you again prior to submitting paperwork, drink lots of water, eat a large meal, wear heavy clothing, put ankle weights on, and rolls of quarters in your pockets.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I want you to be prepared.

Yea I am very worried about the light weight thing...its just right now I am eating salads no pop etc because I do truly want to lose weight any way I can.  I am worried though if I got back in and say hey I gained 22 pounds will they raise an eyebrow.  However I am truly small framed. My feet are 5.5 my hands are very little and if you do the measurement thing through metropolitan one can see I am small framed I am just worried that they won't articulate that in their paperwork.....oh well here we go

I know what you mean about waiting around.  I'm on my 4th month of my doctor supervised diet.  I have to wait till February to send all my stuff into the insurance for approval.

I hate to say it...but let's hope you have obstructive sleep apnea in your sleep test! That's a BIG comorbidity, one that most insurance companies want you to fix bad enough that they'll pay for your WLS.

Good luck!

I had the kick-butt duodenal switch (DS)!

HW: 344 lbs      CW: 150 lbs

Type 2 diabetes and sleep apnea GONE!
