Saturday Roll Call
Hi Randy. I've been busy today so I couldn't reply to your message. It's funny that Chris B. thought you were writing to her!
It's the Wildfire in Glenview. This week I've been very busy. I''m usually not out so much all in one week.
It seems that Chris B answered your question about BBQ sauce. Even when you're out over several years. you can still have a dumping episode over something that was RNY safe before.
The thing you will notice is as you lose more weight, you don't stay home that much anymore!

It is OK that you did not answer me back quickly. I am seldom in need of a quick reply. Christina needed the giggle anyway.
Is your Wildfire by the mall? DW works in Glenview but only knows a few places there where they take clients and I think she knows where the Mickey D's is.
They like the Italian place just south of the bridge on Milwaukee. I know even fewer places as I have not been there more than maybe a dozen times yet and usually on a mission to get to the lake on a Saturday or to a job interview during the week. Gas prices have kept us pretty close to home even when my ailments let us out. I pretty much have to wait for my body to say I can go somewhere and then if I am to be out for more than six hours I have to take an emergency kit with me.

The Wildfire is before the shopping mall in the Glen. It is right off of Patriot by the Dominicks.
Randy, you'll be getting out a lot more. I used to stay in the house unless I had to go to work, visit family or go grocery shopping. I didn't do much of anything else. I couldn't handle it physically.

Been around but really busy with life in general. We are going down to Navy Pier, Lincoln Park Zoo and then over to the Christkindlmarket at Daley Plaza today. We will walk down to the train and then take a cab over to the pier to save our legs and feet then possilby walk over or cab it over to the zoo to see the lights. I have to do a Map Quest first to see how far it is before walking there. We will cab it back to the plaza because that is a hike and a half from Lincoln Park. We like to walk but that is too far even for us.
We have never been to the pier or the zoo to see these two events before but we have been to Daley plaza for the market. I have experienced these markets before in Germany and the one that is here in Chgo is very close to the ones in the old country. The zoo and the market need to be experienced in the dark because of the lights.
Need to get moving and make two soups. I am not going to make the curried soup from Good Housekeeping. It is good but not something I can say that other people would like because curry is not liked by all. I found two others on the internet and they look good.

UPDATE: made one of the soups http://rayjenweber.blogspot.com/2007/12/chicken-noodle-soup- in-jar.html THIS IS REALLY GOOD. It is a great recipe to have the ingredients around the house to make a quick soup. It does not say whether to train the canned chicken or not so I just dumped the whole can, liquid and all in for the extra flavor. It also says to break up the chicken I would not do that next time as I like the larger chunks. Also I would add a whole large can of the chicken or three of the small cans. They also have changed the sizing on the cans and they are 1oz less now.

Bus to Navy pier would save some cash to use for taxi later.
Why do you not do buses? The system here sort of goes in circles but is alright if you know where they go. The Navy Pier Bus is the first one I caught here.
