Good Morning my IL family sleepyheads!

Well I still don't feel the best, but my throat isn't too bad this morning, now it's more my ears that are clogged.  I hate that feeling, but oh well, life must go on.
Today I have to do some grocery shopping and then also get my great nephew's a couple of birthday presents for their party on Saturday. I want to get out and back home before the snow starts again.  I will have to run out later to get Tyler from wrestling practice, but maybe I can convince Mike to do that again for me like he did yesterday!  lol

Other than that, nothing going on here.  I want to get my Christmas cards written out and sent, I got stamps yesterday so I will work on that.

I hope everyone has a great, warm and safe day today!!

Hello everyone

I'm not looking forward to the drive home.  I hate driving in the snow.  I did everything I need to do yesterday so I can go straight home after work.  One day when I retire I will move somewhere warm, like New Mexico or Arizona.

I have my Christmas cards all ready I just need to buy stamps.  I will do that this weekend.  I also have a birthday present to buy this weekend.

Monica-  feel better soon.

Michelle-  I wish a speedy recovery and lots of success.

Stay warm.  Have a nice day.

Crystal, I am SO with you on retiring somewhere warm.  When I was a JR in high school my parents had an offer on our house and we were going to move to Arizona, they had a house there already, but because I only had one more year of school left, they declined the offer...never got another one!  darn it what was I thinking?  lol

Be safe on your drive home!

Good Morning Illinois,

Hopfully the snow stays far far to the north today. I have to drive over to LaSalle, about 30 min away this morning for work and dread the thought of coming home tonight in a snow storm.

DH is down with a severe cold. He came home from work yesterday and slept all day. Then, he didn't eat anything and went to bed at seven. I decided to sleep in the rec room on a recliner last night. I don't need to share his cold.

What is on your agenda for today?

Hugs

Good Morning Illinois Friends

Happy Hump Day!

Well, the weather is going to be another snowy one.  They are predicting around 5 inches here so it should be a fun time coming home tonight!  I wish I was a kid and enjoyed this weather again!  Remember the fun we used to have when it snowed?    I never could understand why my parents did not like the snow.  Hmmm  I no longer wonder that now.

I hope today is not as busy today at work as it was yesterday.  I think everyone took stupid pills yesterday.  It was the day for either off the wall questions of questions that really tried your patience.  Needless to say, that made for a looong day.  Normally I really enjoy working with the people but it seems that when one person is a pill they all are.  Must be the weather!

Stay warm, I hope no one has to shovel that white stuff that will be coming out of the sky and maybe rediscover your inner kid and have some fun.

I have some very fond memories of the winters when I was a kid.  Especially the big snow of 79.  I remember the plow pushed all the snow into a huge pile in our driveway (we had a HUGE driveway with a detached garage) and it was just close enough to the house that we jumped off of the roof into it!  LOL  we were nuts.  Then my mom would always have hot chocolate ready for us when we came back in.  My kids also love playing in the snow, but not me anymore...I hate to be cold and since surgery that's all I am!  lol

We have pictures of my oldest son sitting on top of the snowpile. My husband had to lift him up to put him on this pile of snow. All of our neighbors shoveled their walks and you felt like you were in a maze with the snow piled soo high.

Good morning Monica, Crystal, Lisa and IL friends!

Monica - I hope that you are feeling better soon. Try to get a lot of rest.

Crystal - I sure like your idea to retire in either New Mexico or Arizona. That's something I'm giving a lot of thought to. The winters are getting harder and harder for me!

Lisa - Lady, please don't wish the snow up north in my direction. I always get it, since I'm so close to the Wisconsin border. LOL!!!

Today I have a dinner party at 6 so I will be out there in the snow storm. Ughhhhhhhhhh!!!

I got home late after midnight because of my homeowners association meeting. We had our annual meeting which is also the elections for the Board. I've been on the Board for 6 years and in the last 2, I was the Vice President. Well, we had an upset on the Board and lost 2/3 of our good members. For some reason, I was still voted on. We didn't elect officers though because of the time. So, I am going to see what develops. If I don't get one of them, I'm going to resign in January. I don't like the direction the board is going and don't want to be part of it or associated with it in any way or means. I can't believe they ousted the current Pres and some of the members at large.

Well, I'm here so I guess that is something good!

Have a safe and stay warm day.

Hugs,
Lucy
