Thanks a MILLION!!!!
I just wanted to let y'all know that I soooo appreciated the support and good thoughts and payers from everyone.
The procedure went pretty easy, although I was overwhelmed with emotions and cried the whole time I was there. Hopefully this will block the pain and I will be able to return to work soon.
I also wanted to share some words of wisdom that the nurse who put in my IV told me because I couldn't stop the tears...she said, "you know, I think it is sometimes good to let your eyes cry, because if you don't, I believe that the rest of your body will cry out in other ways...so don't hold back the tears". And she also gave me a hug when I was leaving the hospital.
I spent the afternoon resting here at the hotel and will be heading back home tomorrow morning.
Thanks again my "chosen family" ....you guys made me feel cared about. God bless each and every one of you. xoxoxo

Hi Lucy,
I am sooo much better today....just a little dizzy when I first stand up, but I am taking it slowly and have one of those canes with the four-feet on them (much more stable for me) and I am keeping it close by so as not to trip over the five little hellions that get underfoot. We have 3 small dogs and 1 old cat (thinks he's a dog) and are babysitting my sister's little old yorkie....It's a lot of fun...NOT...but, they love me no matter what, so I can take the extra work.
I think I am going to have a whole new attitude about crying now......no more holding all the emotions in.....I say, LET EM OUT!!!
Thanks for all of your kind thoughts and words.
xoxo

Hi Nancy,
Thanks for the kind words....the procedure went well, and I have a great amount of pain relief but my physical therapist/chiropractor (aka Dr Frank--the most wonderful) warned me that I am still injured and "don't go thinking you are walking the mall and Christmas shopping all day"....LOL..funny how he can sometimes read my mind.
I am only making a short trip out today...I'm making those polar fleece blankets (the ones where you just fringe and knot the ends of two pieces....very easy craft) and will head over to one of the fabric stores for a quick trip and then back home.
At least I am catching up on all of my DVD's .....still working on a bunch of the series sets I bought and haven'****ched.....
Thanks again,
Paula T

HI Dawn!!!
I'm feeling like a new woman.....thanks for keeping me in your thoughts.
I did a lot of soul searching the last few weeks, because this injury has really forced me to slow down.....I've got plans now....goals, etc.
I did wind up dropping about 20lbs during this ordeal, I was in so much pain and nauseus (sp) from the meds I really couldn't stomach solid foods. Thank goodness I still keep protein powder on hand....and cream of wheat cereal (yuk!)...that was all I could stomach.
Have a wonderful day, and thanks again.

Hi Carol,
Thanks for keeping me in your prayers!!! I need all the positive people in my life right now.
I've gotta tell you, as a fellow Bandster....it was kinda funny when I went for x-rays at the emergency room that the technician said, "do you know you have some sort of foreign object in your abdomen?"....as much pain as I was in at the time, I laughed.....It was all on the chart, but he hadn't had time to read it.
As far as I know, as a Bandster, we cannot get MRI's because of the titanium port..am I right?
I did go for a CT Scan the next week and the technician asked to feel the port....another funny moment for me...and my HBF (Hot Boyfriend) was with me for that and said that he actually saw my band on the screen.....I think he meant that he saw the port.....but he said it was pretty neat to see it.
thanks again for your support and prayers.....they are much appreciated.
