Make sure today is a do as I say do not a do as I did do day.

I will have to find some smaller plates and adjust greatly over the next eight months.

I went to bed at 7pm because I was miserable.

I got back up at 10:30pm because my legs were miserable and the rest of me is still close to miserable.

Those traveling to Missouri I hope will not be in Misery.  A friend who sings once got a gig in Branson and his two year old daughter told us her dad was in misery.

I did not realize how much my consumption limits had changed.  I am very glad what I had this evening I had at home.  It sure points out that there are many things I just do not neer in the house.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my IL family......

As I write this post, I just realized the this Friday is my 11 month surgiversary.  It has been an amazing journey so far with 100lbs gone, 8lbs below my personal goal, and only 7lbs away from having a normal bmi.

Because we have no family in the immediate area, I get to avoid all the holiday stress and craziness that others deal with.  My husband and daughter will work in the evening, so I will get to watch tv and do homework as this is finals week for my investment class.

Dinner for us will be Turkey breast, acorn squash, green beans, cornbread stuffing, and rolls.  For dessert, my son request a cookies and cream pie and I will also be making a sugar free pumpking cheesecake using sf pudding.

I am pretty much done with shopping, so this will be the first year in a while that I am not out and about trying to pick up bargins.  I am going to send hubby to get our decorations out of storage so I can put up the tree on Saturday.

So with this, I have to say on this holiday I am thankful for my family, my friends, and my RNY.  Love to all on this holiday.

Happy Turkey Day

I did almost all of my running around yesterday.  I still have to get an oil change.  I just got my secret Santa person at work.  I will have to go to the mall, to Bath & Body Works to guy her gift.

I was thinking about how different I will be this time next year.  Hopefully I will get my surgery sometime in March.  By next Thanksgiving I will be thinner and healthier!!!!  It seems so far away but, then I think how fast the year has past.  I will be thinner before you know it!!!  I still have food demons to conquer.  One step at a time.  I don't worry much about eating the wrong things today.  Its times like these that being a picky eater helps.  The only thing I really eat is the turkey.  I don't like stuffing, sweet potatoes, cranberries, pumpkin pie, almost all of your typical Thanksgiving food.

Well everyone  have a great Thanksgiving.

National Tire and Battery has an on-line coupon for an oil change for $16.99.  With fees it comes to around $21 or $22.

Good Morning Illinois.

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving Day, whatever your holiday customs are.

I woke up early so I can enjoy all the coffee I want this morning. DH only leaves me enough to fill my togo cup most mornings, so when he is off, I can indulge a little. Plus, I found cinnamon creamer that I love.

I have rutabaga cooking on the stove, a favorite of DH since childhood, and  a jello dessert in the frig. That is all I have to take to my DDs for today.

I will be bugging out of my DD house for abit today to run to Walmart with the DGD. We have to find gifts for her to give to her parents for Xmas.

Don't overeat, but enjoy what you want. My strategy is to to take a teaspoon of everything. Eat the faves first, then if there is still room, eat the rest.

For those that are traveling, stay alert and drive as your life depends on it. It does.

Have a GREAT THANKSGIVING DAY!

Hugs to all.

 Randy,

In the children's section of Ikea there is a five-pack of really little plates.  They are plastic.  They also have little plastic bowls.  If you are looking for little plates and bowls in ceramic, Mitsuwa has some.

Hopefully your misery will subside,

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thank you, yes the misery has gone away.  Now if Ican avoid a repeat over the next few days.  I have some nice dessert plates that are about the right size for two servings.  I have some pyrex bowls that hold one cup which are also nice for limiting servings.  I will likely pick up some nine or ten inch plates at some point.
