Wednesday Roll Call

Worky, Worky! ALways busy am I. Work today and take the boys to their dads only the ldest wll be home this year. We will be going to my husbands gramma's for lunch then to my sisters for dinner. I want to spend the majority of my time off cleaning and putting up the Christmas decorations. Alex has bowling tournaments Friday and Saturday. I wish everyone a Happy and save Thanksgiving!

Good morning all,

Don't have a whole lot planned this morning except for jumping on my elipital machine and getting that done and out of the way.  (Yes, it is like a chore--don't want to do it, but must).

My hubby is only working a half day, so he will be home around noon.  I think we are going bowling this afternoon and going to the motorcycle shop with our son---he wants saddle bags for Christmas--he wants to show them to us. 

I don't have a lot of cooking to do--Thanksgiving this year is at my mom's.  This should be fun (she said sarcastically)--  but at least I won't have to deal with all of the leftovers--thats a good thing.

 I had to be off my arthritis meds for a few days after the endoscopy.  I called the doctor's office and they said I could resume the meds.   I don't know how I will manage after surgery, when I have to give up the meds for over two months.

I went swimming at VAC this morning.  I don't usually use a cane to go in, but I did today.  I also stopped at Woodsman's and did some grocery shopping.  My daughter wants my DH's stuffing, so I bought some additional ingredients, so he can make it tonight.  I also got a couple of aluminum baking pans, so my DD doesn't have to worry about bringing back dishes.

I bought some SF Carnation instant breakfast.  I mixed it with a Crystal Light Tangerine-strawberry powder, lactose free FF milk, and ice in my vitamix.  It was almost like drinking an orange julius.

Tomorrow, we will drive out to Oak Park to pick up my dad.  Then, we will drive up to Janesville, WI.  When we are done there,  we will drive back to Oak Park, then home to Montgomery.  Gas in Oswego was $1.63 at Wal-Mart, Meijer, and Jewel Express.  Most other places were at least $1.81.

You know what sweetie - everything is possible if you set your mind to it. I know that there might be some pain involved PO with out having your meds for the arthritis but you will be reducing your weight and that in itself might make it easier with the lower weight that you will be carrying on your joints. Just look for the light at the end of the tunnel after surgery.

 

Hello everyone and Happy Thanksgiving.

I do not post on this site very often but would like to start. I would like to get to know all of you and be a part of your society.

We are going to Indiana tomm to my brother's. I have already done my part of the cooking, which consists of mini cheesecakes (for my neice), sweet potatoes, a broccoli casserole, dinner rolls (store bought), homemade cranberry sauce, and a carrot cake.
My daughter wants us to get up and go shopping. Any of you planning on going out on Black Friday?

I want to really be careful with my eating tomm. This is my first big holiday since surgery. Since I do Not dump it could be a problem. We shall see.

The only shopping I am doing on Friday is at the resale shop up here in the Dells. I am in the market for a couple of blazers. Dave and I have found some things locally at some of the shops here and we are just about had when it comes to shopping.

I am posting late, but better late than never I guess.  I worked half a day today.  I was like a crazy woman trying to get my work done and get out of there.  I was also trying to make "cheat sheets' for whoever is going to be doing my job while I am off to have my surgery.  I am off until Monday thankfully.  I work Monday and my surgery is Tuesday morning.  I am so psyched and ready to go.  I am going to enjoy a very quiet Thanksgiving by staying home.  I am on liquid diet and can't eat the good stuff anyway lol.

Dave and I have been having such a relaxing time up here in the Dells. As a long marrieds we need these times to reconnect like we have been doing the last several days. We have been doing some shopping, not of the holiday type but of the type of things that we have needed in the house for the last several months. Good thing that we have a small car and cannot bring much more back. A few of them are gifts so they are not going into the house to stay. I got a great couple of gifts for our gift exchange at Dr R's support group meeting in a couple of weeks. And I have a list of ideas for the next few years. Boy, my brain works so well when I am not in stressed out at work.

Happy travels to those that are going near or slightly far.
Where is Paul and of course we are always asking about Barry?  we miss them.
