Holiday Season "flu"
When I was a child and well into adulthood I had the "flu" every holiday season. Some years were worse than others and family functions would be cut back. Christmas is just way too important to worry about the entire family getting sick due to exposure to a sick child. Indeed no one ever caught my "flu" due to being exposed at gatherings. When I was thirty I learned I am allergic to dust or actually dust mites as well as many other things including evergreen trees.
Decorations - brought from the atic with extra dust
Tree - go to a lot full of them and run around inside the trees going wild from excitement and breaking into major itching which is proceeded by major ?anseyness?
Candles - almost same as trees, scents are mostly based in cedar oil
Perfumes - well of course everyone has to splash on some of last years fragrance gift, also based in cedar oil

I am with you on the allergies. I have dust or dust mite allergies too. While most people are miserable in the summer, my worst season is winter (because everything closed up). I am going to try the irrigation that Dawn recommended. My nose is so irritated right now from me constantly wiping or blowing my nose. I'm temped to start using decongestants again (behind my doctor's back of course). But I have been good so far.
Hopefully you will have nice Christmases from now on.
