Monday Roll Call
I will be having an endoscopy in a few hours (7:30am) and am wide awake right now. I was told not to have any water after midnight. However written directions said I could have some until 3am. I guess I will try not to get thirsty for now.
We have this week off. I work at a school in Bartlett. The teachers have to be at school today and tomorrow, but I don't. Tomorrow, I will drive up to Janesville, WI to babysit my grandkids, one of whom will be at school in the morning, the other at school all day,
Sunday was mostly spent dealing with some Christmas decorations. I am not done by a long-shot. The tree is up with lights and garland, but that's it. My DH completed most of the outside decorationing. He still has a few more lights to put up that we bought when we went to Menard's.
We did head out to have lunch on Sunday. We went to Panda Express, as some of their food is lower in calories. We also stopped at Lowes, Menard's, and Farm and Fleet.
I was excited to see that it was possible to get some nutritional information on Portillo's Italian Beefs from the Peapod website. Looking at the ingredients, I guess I won't be getting anymore of their beefs, as they add fat to their gravy. There's a place in Oswego that tells me that they discard the fat that comes out when roasting the beef. They don't add it to their Italian Beef sauce.
I track my eating on Fitday. A lot of times I wonder if I guessed correctly. I'm sure that after the surgery tracking will get a lot easier.

What a great day yesterday! The visit was wonderful and the food was yummy. The person who said it was like a family get together hit the nail on the head.
Lisa, I too saw the dead deer on the way home. Also the wild turkey was still hanging out in the same spot! He sure did not move far yesterday.
I found a small shelter for my outdoor cat at PetSmart so she is ready to go for the winter.
I have today off, but need to do laundry, catch up on newspapers and pick up around the house. Is that a day off????
Christine, I remember those books well! The Bobsey Twins were one of my favorite series growing up. Brings back memories.
Crystal's daughter and both Janets and Angie I hope you feel better soon. Dawn, dont you dare come down with a cold for the Holidays.

Hello everyone 
Time to start the week. Not so bad this week, its only a three day week. What a yucky day it is today. The weekend was not long enough.
My daughter is still sick. She spent the weekend sleeping. I am hoping that she will be better before Thanksgiving. I don't put up my decorations until Thanksgiving. Since I live in an apartment I have no outside to decorate. So I start decorating in the morning and I'm done by lunch.
Hope everyone had a good time yesterday. I wish I could have come.

We got about 2-3 inches of snow up here in the Dells overnight. It was predicted. It is supposed to be 37 today so it will all melt I am sure. A little later we are going to take a leisurely ride up to Mauston to a butcher shop up there. That is also on the way to where my folks used to live in Adams/Friendship area. We are going to stop at a place called Don Smith's that sells closeout stuff. Most of it is crap but they always have new kitchen gadgets, they have some little warm driving gloves that I always wear out each year, etc. After that we will drive down the street to Pamida and they have a couple of things I need to pick up, then back on down to the resale shop here in the Dells for me to snoop around. I always find the neatest sweaters. Though I am in the market for a couple of blazers. Yesterday I ended up at the antique stores like I had mentioned and found a whole mess of a children's book series called The Bobsey Twins. Tonight we will walk down to a place about 1/2 mile away and watch the Packer game. They have this projection set puts the image on the wall. I think they said it is like 12X9. Not bad quality either, lot of them leave a lot to be desired because the image is distorted.
I have seen a gazillion of the wild variety of this in the farmer fields up here in addition to a lot of dead Bambi's on the side of the road that got hit. Saw one 7 point buck in the back of a pick up all ready to be dressed at the butcher.

I think the snow today is pretty! Don't flame me, I'll get tired of it eventually, but I really do love the look of a new snow for most of the winter. It's hard to believe it's Thanksgiving again. THis year went so fast!
As I said yesterday, I had a great time at the party. Thanks for all the compliments too. When you all say I look thinner, I believe you! It's great to have the support of people who feel like family!

On the way back from Rockford yesterday, I did see one deer tied to the back of SUV, and a few small roadkill along the side of I39.
I came home to a perfectly cooked pork roast, done in the crock pot. I love my crock pot.
Today, its work, what more needs to be said. Then tonight, I will continue to put up the tree, I put it together last night and placed a few things on it, but the rest of the decorations are on the floor. I try to follow the "rules", placing the largest on the bottom, ect, but somehow, it never looks quite like a picture postcard. But, then again, whos does.
Dawn, the wreath is great. It is hanging on the front storm door. I didn't even unlock the front door before I went down and got a hanger for it.
Special thoughts going out to Janet K. Also, another big Thank You to Teresa, for hosting our meet and greet.
