Good Morning my IL family!

Well I have already been out and about...Tyler had to have bloodwork done at 8am, then I had to get him something to eat and drop him off at school for wrestling practice.  Then I stopped at the gas station and filled my van for $28!! I can't remember the last time that happened!  lol

Now I am eating my breakfast burrito I got free!  woohoo.  It's got eggs, cheese, sausage, green and red peppers and it's yummy!  I will be making some Raspberry cheesecake fluff and some SF peanut butter cookies and then deciding which I will bring tomorrow.  I'll also have to pick up Tyler around 11am.   I will do some cleaning too.  I have a job lead from my neighbor that I used to work for/with yesterday too.  It would be doing more embroidery for the company that bought our old equipment.  It's right in Geneva and the guy said he would be very flexible with hours and such.  I have to talk to him personally to see what he's offering to pay.

I also scared the crap out of myself, Tyler and Jacob last night.  We were at Charlestown Mall in the Verizon store upgrading our plan and phones and all of a sudden I got really hot and dizzy.  I also got sick to my stomach, I really thought I was gonna pass out.  I wasn't hungry because we had just ate, but it was super hot in there and I didn't have my drink with me.  The girl there gave me some water and I sat down and after about 10 minutes was okay.  It was scary though....

Anyway, I hope everyone has a wonderful day and I am so looking foward to seeing everyone tomorrow and will miss those who can't make it!  Stay safe and warm!

Monica

Sounds like low blood sugar or dumping syndrome.

Good afternoon everyone!

I am getting a late start today!  I have plenty to do, so I am wondering why I am sitting here one my pc lol.  My plan is get my house clean today.  I also need to get my stuff together for the hospital.  I tend to leave those type of things to the last minute.  I am trying to get better at that.

Have a great day!
Michelle

We had a full day yesterday. After we got up here to the Dells we did a bunch of walking, man the wind was bitter. We both had comfortable coats to fend off the cold. Last night we went to see a couple of guys that we heard of last year called Piano Fondue. No it is not about food! Piano Manit is dueling pianos. These two guys work a club up here at Monk's at the Wilderness. All the music is done by request, which of course comes at a cost with a minimum of 5 dollars for a song. You can super cede a song that is being played by out bidding the prior requestor. Lot of 70's and 80's music. And can these guys sing. It is unbelievable the amount of music that they can start in on with out having the music in front of them. We are going back to see them on Friday. There is a 5 dollar cover but it is worth it because there is not smoking in the lounge. We also can walk there from our motel and get more exercise and there is sidewalk to and from.

Going to church tomorrow then out for Dave to watch the Bear game and I can walk next door to the antique mall to just look at the memorabilia.

This is my first post.  I see that some of us live in near-by towns.  Howdy neighbors.

I just got scheduled for my surgery yesterday.  Aetna actually decided quite quickly, so that's cool.  In about two weeks I get to start the pre-surgery diet.  I hope that something like buillion will be allowed as sometimes I want savory tastes, not just sweet ones.

Lifeweigh seems to encourage Medifast, but I haven't purchased any of their stuff.

My DH and I went out toward Woodfield today.  We  stopped at Woodfield, Mituswa (for lunch),  Ikea (I like the Schaumburg one better than the Bollingbrook store), Yu's Mandarin to pick up take-out for latter meals, LL Bean, and Wal-Mart.  It was a long day.

At Mitsuwa, I bought some little bowls and plates in preparation for my new eating proportions

I think tomorrow we will get Christmas decorations out.

Since my surgery is scheduled for just before Christmas, I wonder if I need to take down Christmas decorations before hand.  I don't know how "out-of-it" I will feel afterward.

I hope you have a great weekend.

Monday will bring an endoscopy, my last test.

Welcome. You will also note that a few of us have the same doc, Dr JR. You are in great hands. The dietician will lay out exactly what you can drink. Medifast is pretty good. I even tried it as a longer PO so I could talk about it to pre ops. The one thing about it is that it is a little bland and needs some flavor from salt and pepper. The puddings and shakes need a little Splenda. But this is just my opinion.

I do not live very far from Mitsuwa, about 5 miles away and I am just about the same from Woodfield. I am in Itasca which is just a little south of Schaumburg.
