Friday Roll Call
Good morning kids of the IL board. I am out of the 'burbs here in about 2 hours for the north woods. I will have a PC with as usual to check in on all.
We are going to drive leisurely up to WI, do some walking and just plain do some old fashioned talking and connect. Not that we do not communicate but sometimes life gets in the way, you know what I mean long marrieds.
Oh, by the way Dave finally received and signed his contract with the company that he interviewed with back in February
I will check in later on today.

Hello Everyone 
In spite of the bad news I received yesterday (read my other post) I'm in a good mood today. Not only is it Friday but my daughter comes home today!!!
As soon as I get home today I have to take her to urgent care. She's sick and it sounds like strep throat. Hopefully I don't catch it. My friend was going come over today but I don't know about that now. She has two little ones at home and I would hate for her to bring home any germs. While we're at the doctor's office I'm going to have him look at her finger (she cut her finger too). She's a mess!!! Other than that I am just going to relax this weekend and visit with my daughter (also baby her because she's sick). No matter how old they get you still want to take care of them when they are sick.
As for the news I got yesterday I won't dwell on it. I mean sure I'm a little disappointed. Not only did I lose my yearly raise and bonus but I lost my promotion too. I'm not even going to talk about my 401k. That's enough to upset anyone. But yesterday I was reassured that I was going to eventually get my promotion I will just have to wait till next summer and my job is safe from any lay-offs. So things could be worse and I realize I do have alot of blessings that I'm grateful for.

Ouchie! Hope she feels better. I think it is too late for stitches. Dave gashed his head last month and waited about 24 hours before going to urgent care and they said it was too long for it to be open with out stitches. Bacteria gets in and if they close it then the bacteria can turn to an infection. It is better to just be put on a course of antibiotics and let it heal from the inside out.

Christine, where do you go in the North Woods?? My sister and bil have a cabin in Conover north of Eagle River. It sure is pretty up there. Also, I am glad to hear that Dave got his contract! I am sure that feels good. Whew, what a relief.
Crystal, I know you have to be disappointed but am glad to hear that your job is protected. You have put in so many hours overtime you surely deserve the raise and promotion. Also, I am sure your daughter will appreciate the "Mom love" I can still remember the first time I got sick after I had my first job and got sick and there was no mom to care for me. It was the pits!
I sure am looking forward to Sunday! Just have to get through work today. Tomorrow, I have to go get 4 tires for my car or I wont make it through winter. Also need to get my grocery shopping in. Hopefully I will also have time to prepare the outside dog house for my feral cat. I stuff it with straw so she has a warm spot in the winter.

Thats good news that Dave got his contract. It will mean a new start for the new year. And have a blast in Wi.
It is COLD! 18' here this morning. The sun is out, but it isn't warm.
I will be helping the DH with cabinets this morning. Not my favorite thing to do, but, sometimes ya have to.
They have given me a helper for 2 days a week at work, but the day I need additional help, is the one day that its just 2 of us. Oh well, I guess I had better feel blessed with what I have, and muddle through the rest.
I did get to Kmart yesterday and bought some new lights for outside. Now its just getting DH to redo them.

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

I have to call the furnace guy to come out today. The furnace is acting up....this is not the time to be without heat. The sun is shining but it is cold.
Also need to have someone come out and replace the lightbulbs in the elevator. It seems all three lights went out at the same time. No one wants to use the elevator in the dark. No one called the management company when the first light went out.....

Good morning to everyone!! Happy Friday to all! I have not posted on morning roll call in a long time, so I thought today was a good day to say "hello!"
Today my 2 1/2 year old has gymnastics class and then we are off to the mall (again) to eat lunch and play. My mother in law is coming over tonight to attend Shabbat services with our family at the temple. My daughter, Madison, will be involved in tonight's service.
Tomorrow my husband and I are heading to WI. to a medical Kiai Qigong seminar for stress relief. My husbands cousin has his PhD and has been studding martial arts and energy for over 15 years. This is something totally new for us and we are trying to do new and exciting things to reconnect as a couple. This seminar teaches new ways to deal with stress. Should be very interesting.
Saturday night we get another chance to go out and have some fun! My friend is having a going away party and a local bar, so it will give us a chance to get out again with NO kids! Woohooo! (This does not happen very often for us!)
