Good morning all! 
I haven't been posting but I've been around.  This place has been my "quiet" spot as of late.  Since my sister had passed and the summer flood I have been really down.  Things had begun to settle  then my dad's cancer has resurfaced.  So I leave tomorrow for Ohio.  I've been enjoing the Illinois posts and reading the Rants and Raves (Holy Smokes, there are some very interesting people on there.  Reading some of their replys had me laughing).  Hope that everyone has a great day.

Welcome Deb!!!  Hope you join us for roll call from now on.  You really do get know everyone.  Sorry to hear about your dad and your sister.  This is a good place to go for support.  There is always someone here to help you.   

Well I'm at work already.  I am tired from working this weekend.  I feel like I live here.  It's such a cold day.  I'm not ready for winter.  Its Tuesday...only three more days till my daughter comes home for Thanksgiving. 

I was really bad yesterday.  I ate all kinds of bad food.  Today is a new day no more bad food.  My friend came over last night.  Her daughter is selling cheesecakes.  I felt obligated to buy one (she always bought from my daughter).  What the heck am I going to do with a whole cheesecake.   If I leave that cake at home I will eat and eat till its all gone.  Maybe I can find a place to donate the cake.

I will keep your dad in my prayers too.  I am sorry that you are going through all of this right now.

Today I am heading to Charlestown Mall to pick up my resized smaller wedding ring.  I will admit it will be weird wearing it again...I haven't worn it since March 24th.  I won't spend a lot of time there, since that mall is like a ghost town.  I dont' thnk it will be open much longer.
Then I will stop at the Super Target across the street and pick up a few things there.  Home for homework and then to a sports intro meeting tonight.  Gonna put a pork tenderloin in the crock pot with some onion soup mix and cranberry sauce.  I made this before and everyone loved it.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day and please be careful if you are drivng anywhere those roads are slippery...

Maybe you can take the cake to work or give it to a neighbor for the holidays..  Just a thought.  Don't be yourself up over a bad day of poor choices.  Just get back on track.  You're doing great!

Good Morning Deb and Illinois friends!

Deb, you certainly have a lot on your plate.  I will offer a prayer for your Dad.  I know from experience how hard that can be.  Where in Ohio does your Dad live.  My  parents lived there as well as a variety of relatives. 

Can we say brrrrrr.  I thought I would never get warm yesterday!  I was sitting with a long underwear top, turtleneck, sweater and another sweater.  I had jeans on, a lap throw and fur lined shoes and was still cold at times yesterday!  I was better after eating chili for lunch.  Then I came home and saw snow on the ground.  I am so NOT ready for winter! It doesn't help that the blood thinners that I am on have my blood on the too thin side right now.  Did my doctor lower my dose?  No grrr.

I am looking forward to Sunday!  Cant wait to see everyone.  Anyone from this area want to carpool?  I plan to bring pumpkin mousse. 

It sounds like everyone is incredibly busy.  I cant believe that Thanksgiving is almost here.  Driving home last night, someone had their Christmas decorations out and lit   I still have my fall decorations out.  Am I behind the times?

I don't mind so much the people who have their decorations up early.  My pet peeve is all of the people that have their decorations still up in February or March.  It drives me nuts.  Sorry if anyone here does that.  I won't hold it against you.  LOL

I am sitting here waiting for my van to defrost. Then I will be off to work. That will be it for today.

We haven't seen any snow yet, except for flakes now and then. I can wait for it. At least the sun is out, even if it is cold.

Will try to get back here today, but I know its going to be a hectic mess at work today. Yesterday was nice, but being tiesday, everyone has gotten over the weekend, and are ready to start thier week.

Like most of you, I have a normal work day today--staff meeting--not my favorite thing, but necessary I guess. Other than that, the day should be OK.

Support group last night was small but mighty. I always find it helpful.

Not much on the agenda today...laundry and the gym, for sure.....still applying for jobs but not getting much response....oh, well, it's just not meant to be right now....

Hi everyone. Sorry I missed group last night. Mom fell on friday and has been needing full assist since. We are hoping to get her in for a hip replacement after the holidays. Lastnight I was at her house at 8:30 pm, 1:30 am and 5 am just to help her up to the bathroom. I must be an only child! My sister has helped out for 2 hours since last friday and my brother hasn't been around at all. Thank heaven for my 22 and 20 year old. They have been helping. I have such good boys! I can't wait till Sunday! Real adult interaction! If anyone needs specific directions or my cell # just PM me.
