lets get together at next ABMC support group meeting!!

Hello everyone!

The AMBC support group meeting last Saturday was great! It was great seeing Monica again, which you look AMAZING! It was very nice to meet Shane, Wendi, Eileen and the three other ladies that attended.

I feel that we could all use some support and I was thinking that perhaps at the next support group meeting on December 20th we could all meet for support and then for some good ole' cafeteria food and conversation. I have not been able to make it to any of the other gatherings, so I thought I would throw this idea out there. I will be at the next support group meeting and hopefully some of you can too!

THis would be a great meeting to attend right before all the holidays arrive!

December 20
Alexian Brothers Medical Center
9am-10:30am (problematic eating)
10:45am-12:15 pm (post op gastric bypass support group)

Jill,

I am doing better, my husband and I went to a parent's counselor last night and had a great session.  We have come up with some new techniques to hopefully make things better here.  We are willing to try anything to keep him at home.  I cooked on Sat for the week almost, so we are enjoying the fruits of my labor now.

Thanks for the info on the support group. for some reason I did not have it on my calender.

This is the problem with having a son in sports.  Tyler has his first Freshman Duel that day, they start at 9am and go til  ???
I won't be able to make it on the 20th.  that really stinks because I loved support group last weekend.

I will miss you too!  You are right though there are meetings often!!

At this time, it is on my calendar and this is something I will look forward to.  Now, lets keep the fingers crossed that the weather is permitting.

I am so glad that you can make it! Hopefully we dont have a blizzard on that day and its nice and dry.

Hi Jill....

I plan to be there on the 20th too. I really enjoyed being able to meet you all last weekend.

I had my surgery on Monday and things went pretty well. I haven't had any nausea or vomiting... and the nursing staff at ABMC was outstanding. Overall, I have to say I had a good experience. Thank you to whoever gave me the tip on getting a private room... it worked!

btw... someone forgot to tell me how much pain there is!!
