Dr Wallace

Hi-Just wondering if Dr. Wallace was anyone's surgeon?  What are  your thoughts? 

Dr Wallace assisted at my husband's WLS to Dr Rantis. There are a couple of people on the board that had him as their surgeon. Let me do a search and get back to you.

Hi Christine-

Thank you for emailing back so quickly--You and your husband look very familiar.  By chance, have you spoken at the Kane Seminars?  I believe that you both were at the one that I attended.  I am in the process of getting all my appointments squared away and even though I have selected Dr. Wallace, I just wanted to get additional feedback.

I have been lurking around this site and just started to join the forums.  I am very excited and scared about the surgery at the same time.

Yes, thank you for noticing. Dave & I do not miss too many of the seminars for the Kane Group, in fact we were just at one last night and last Saturday.

Hi!

Dr. Wallace will be performing my RNY on Monday. I have met with him twice in the office and feel very comfortable that he will take good care of me. I have also talked with two others that had him as their surgeon and they spoke very highly of him.

I had Dr.Wallace and he is a fantastic person and doctor!  The whole team is outstanding!  You will be in good hands.  I am about 8 months out and everytime I go and see him, I feel he is never in a rush with me and always makes sure that all of my questions are answered.  Good luck and if you have any other questions, please let me know.  I check in about once a day, but have been lurking lately and not posting as much!  This is a great support system.

Chris is right,  I did have Dr. Wallace as my surgeon.  I really liked the whole group of them.  They were fantastic and very caring.  I had to have my gallbladder out and then the RNY and for both surgeries, I saw most of the drs of the group and they were all great.  Dr. Wallace gave the talk at the seminar I attended so that is how I picked him.  I liked his talk and the way he explained things, and he did not seem like a surgeon.  I have worked with enough of them to know that most of them do not have a bedside manor.  You will be very happy with your care.

Which hospital are having it done at?  Mine was at ABMC and the care there on the post surgical floor is awesome!  Cant say enough about it.  As an ICU nurse, I can be picky, and they went above and beyond.

I also had Dr. Wallace for my RNY and I liked him so much I had to go have my gallbladder out this week by him as well LOL. I ended up with Dr. Wallace cause at the time he was the earliest appt I could get. And I am glad cause I think he is a great. He never makes you feel rushed and always puts me at ease. So good luck with your surgery and you will be very happy with him as your dr!!
