Get to know you better
Well I have been married now to the most wonderful man in the world for 2-1/2 years been together over 4 years now. God definitely saved the best for last for me. I have 2 boys Joe (25) & Elijah (15), 2 step children Amanda (24) & Nick (21), I don;t like the step children term but used it to explain. I'm currently unemployed, oh wait I got a dead end job that pays an insulting amount for someone with the experience that I have. But its a job. Before this I worked for Vulcan Material for 3 years as a Scale/Payroll Clerk, loved what I did just couldn;t stand who I worked for. My job was eliminated on March 3rd of this year, so I've been without a job since then, but worked for the best. I had my knee completely replaced on April 1st and then on June 23rd my RNY. I was a school secretary, nurse and girls volleyball/basketball coach for several years and before that I was a Veterinarian Technician for 10 years.
My favorite thing to do for a job is data entry and bookkeeping...shoot if you know of any openings in any chicago south suburbs let meknow...:) I've always wanted to work in a legal office.
So right now I just keep the dog company, clean and do laundry...

We made the decision early in our married life not to have any children; a decision that was perfect for us. We have traveled abroad and with in the country and have loved it. I served many years abroad at church conferences that Willow Creek held in Germany, Wales, Sweden, New Zealand and Australia. I stepped down in '03 from that but still serve at the Creek with the production team.
Dave and I also give our PO testimonies at both of our doctor's pre surgical seminars. I also enjoy being a patient advocate at health fairs when I am asked to be there. Both the pre surg. and health fairs are so exhilarating. You know pre op people are watching you and it fires you up to continue to live the PO life style to the 'nth degree.

We have a little something in common. About 12 years ago I worked at Dupage County Sheriff's Department as a 911 dispatcher. I was there a little over a year. I was working third shift. I just couldn't handle trying to sleep during the day. Even my doctor suggested I change shifts or find another job. I inquired about transferring shifts but I was told the open morning shifts would go to someone with more seniority. So I was out of luck. I ended up leaving. But the job was very interesting.

I've been married to my husband, Earl, 31 years and have one daughter, Jen. My family is my life. I've worked as a bookkeeper since I was 18 years old until I retired, other than a stint as a insurance claims processor for a couple years (hated it).
I retired when our first granddaughter was born in 2002. Cheyanne was a 4 pound miracle baby needing special care so I quit work since my daughter had to return to work. Amazingly Cheyanne is 100 % perfect and had no long term problems. Samantha was born in 2004. My daughter is in the process of getting divorced but she and the girls are doing fine.
My husband retired on Disability in 2003 due to Rheumatoid Arthritis. He has not responded well to the medications since he has had RA since 1991, before they came out with all the miracle meds. somehow we get through it all. I have known my husband since we were children and he is my best friend and biggest supporter.
I wouldn't change anything about my life except for Earl & I to have better health. I've been working on mine for the past year and things are improving. Since losing 50 pounds (without surgery) I no longer have high blood pressure or high cholesterol, I have more energy and less back and knee pain. I wish I had paid more attention to my health when I was younger. I don;t know whether I'll have weight loss surgery as my docs think I don;t need it now and the insurance hasn;t approved it anyway.... so I'll keep doing what I'm doing and with God's help continue losing.

Hello
My daughter was a member of the NIU youth orchestra for three years. She loved it so much that I had to drive from Oswego to Dekalb every Wednesday after work. I forgot the director's name (he was very nice). My daughter played oboe for the orchestra but she also plays bassoon, english horn, baritone, and drums. She is very much a music person. She almost majored in oboe performance at U of I. She still keeps up with her music and plays in the U of I orchestra. She is a Environmental Science major. She said the Earth needs her.
Great Idea !
I work as a Pharmacy Technician, I translate precriptions for CVS/Caremark Specialty Division.
We are in the mailorder department and manage many longterm and shorterm diseases and health issues.
The work is some days overwhelming as when a prescription has problems and we know someone is waiting and needs the medication urgently - stress is present.
I do sit most of the day and I would rather be more on my feet moving around, so I try to take all my breaks by walking through the building.
I live about 15 minutes from work so I love the commute.
Currently I am trying to get work with the Customs Border Patrol - the customs division at the Airport. I passed the test and was put on a list. Then last July they changed the rules for obtaining the job - MUST BE UNDER 37.

Now I found a position ( Assistant withing Customs) without this requirement, I just may get a chance to work for them. My application has been sent in and now I wait.
I love the Airport and I like people contact I think it would be better job for me.
Opps I turned the Post into what I wish I could be doing.
