Tuesday Roll Call

Hello Everyone 

Well I guess I got through another Monday.  I can't wait until the week of Thanksgiving.  Not only do I get 4 days off but my daughter is coming up to visit for the first time since she left in August.  I can't wait.  We already have our Thanksgiving plans set.  We were invited to have Thanksgiving with my daughter's farther's family.  Really every year we go there.  I know it sounds weird but her father's family is like my family (and he's never around to see his family or his daughter).  Some people find it strange that I'm so close to my ex's family.  They are Puerto Rican and their Thanksgiving dinner is really delicious.  YUMMY.   Of course they always make vegetarian options for my daughter.

Good Morning Crystal and Illinois

I have been MIA the last few days.  Just kinda flaking out.  I went to work yesterday and things were really sloooow.  I got to go home at noon!   I enjoyed my afternoon of***** some things done that you can only get done between 9 - 5 during the week. 

I was freezing yesterday.  Went to get my protiem checked yesterday and found out my blood was on the too thin side.  I just love coumadin -- NOT!  Did they reduce my dose --- UH no??   Not yet -- retest in 10 days so I get to freeze for another 10 days.  I even wore my long underwear to work yesterday and was still cold!

Today will be another slow day at work with a lot of business closed.  I will fight staying awake.  I will take several newspapers and magazines.  For those who have the day off, ENJOY!!

Just another Tuesday in my life.  I use to look forward to Veterins day when I worked in the government, but now it's just another work day.  I do honor all those who have served!  My boss is coming in at noon, so I feel like I can play a little.  That's actually rather silly since i'm not under much scrutiny on a day to day basis.  But old habits die hard.  I'm starting to look forward to Thanksgiving.  I wish I had a larger crowd coming.  Every year I cook the dinner, but this year it is only Liz, the kids, my mother and my best friend and his wife and kids.  Everybody else has either moved away or is traveling.  My father in-law is dating a new woman so he wants to go to her house which means my brother in-law has to follow suit.  I really will miss him.  But we'll survive.  Of course, with all those folks not coming and my eating greatly reduced, there will be plenty of left overs!  The one exciting part is that it is our year to have Nic, my step son with us!  Anyway, it's back to doing some work and trying to get through the cold day!  Have a great day.

Good Morning Everyone in Illinois  Land.

It is good to see that Christine posted last night. I think we all understand what happens when we are really busy and go mia for a bit.

We will be going to our DD in Bloomington for Thanksgiving. She took it over a few years ago when I was so sick. I think there will be 12 for dinner, but that can change by the hour. Paul, we won't have our DGD with us either. She will be going to her dads. We are hoping he won't pick her up until at least 3, so we can share her, She will be there the whole weekend.

Today I am off work, but still have a full day planned. I want to get to some stuff I didn't get to over the weekend, and start a new project. As well as work on those that I have started.

Good morning!

I am wearing one of my new sweaters that I recently made today. It is so fun to be able to do this kind of stuff. 

Yesterday Dawn did a wonderful job of presenting to the students. They were very attentive and asked lots of good questions. I am in the class every Monday and Wednesday and I know they aren't usually as attentive and they were yesterday. Thanks Dawn, that went so well! Dr. Gould was good too--very clear and specific!

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

I am just working today, and my kids actually have school.  They do have veteran's programs planned though.  I find it interesting and a bit confusing how they decide which days are important enough to stay home to honor and which are not.  I used to work in a bank, and I would get all the same holidays as the kids and it was a big help when they were small.

I am having Thanksgiving at my house for us, Amber's family and maybe my brother early in the day.  I have not heard a word from Todd's mother about when or if she plans on having her meal, so we just went ahead and planned ours.  She usually has something later in the day, so if she does, it will be up to Todd if he wants to drive into Rockford at that time.

Nothing else too exciting going on here, just trying to stay warm.  I've got the long johns on, a t-shirt and turtleneck sweater.  Yesterday, I wanted to wear a dress and I had long johns on under my tights!  I don't know WHAT we are going to do when it gets REALLY cold!

I am glad as well to hear from Christine and know that she and Dave are safe and sound.

Happy Tuesday! Another busy day as always. Kids are at home being lazy and still sleeping I am sure. The 2 oldest are in college and complained that it's not fair that the 2 youngest get to stay home. Wait till they get real jobs and have no time off! I can hardly wait for that day to happen. I have my space heater cranked up in my office and I dread going outside at lunch. They say snow changing to rain here today. Lovely.

Can you please give me the name and address of the place we are meeting at in rockford.  And are we doing a potluck type thing or are we just meeting and chatting?  Sorry I wrote allthis stuff down and can't find the paper i wrote it on...ugh!!!  Oh yeah and what time are we meeting?

Hi all, a quick stop to check in.

My son has no school today, so he is at home while hubby and I work.  It is nice when they are old enough to stay home by themselves.  Work is work, enuff said.  School is going ok, but I am struggling with some of the calculations as my algebra skills are very weak.

I am planning on going to support group this weekend at ABMC, so I hope to see some of you there.  I have not been to a group in quite some time so I think I should go.  I am noticing that I am letting a couple of rules slip, so I need to get back on track, but I am also trying to figure out how to maintain. 

Well, that is it for now, I have segment financials to anaylize so back to work I go.
