WELL . . .
Well . . . girls and boys I am around - lurking that is. My life is not upside down right at the moment but it is very busy to say the least. I have a lot on my plate at the moment and not of the food sort I have a gazzilion things coming up over the next month and half. Having my niece at the house has been joyful but time consuming emotionally and time wise. Sorry, all you folks that have had kids - but I wanted to string her two boys up by the thumbs the weekends that they were here. Can you say TV as a baby sitter??
I suggested that the oldest take the younger one to the park 2 1/2 blocks away and that did not go anywhere, go figure. The younger one would watch TV sitting on his head in the recliner. I had to tell him about 6 times to sit properly.
She is just about into her new apartment but still has some of her belongings here. I did change the sheets on the upstairs Murphy bed and put it back into the wall so she better not come back except for the clothing because I do not want to wash queen size sheets again and iron the pillow cases. She does not know it but the door code will be changed when we leave for the Dells over Thanksgiving.
We have an electronic entry code for the side door.
Kids, I might not be able to stop in every day from now on. As I eluded to above I have a lot going on. I stepped up to the plate with an organization for IL police records managers and I am going to be the secretary for the next two years. I am also in the end run of finishing my training manual for my work division and that has been time consuming. I have to do that at work because of the cut and paste that needs to be done via all my web sites and networks at the station. I also have to help with the daily running of my department and do some of the work that comes in every 24 hours. This coming weekend we are going to the school auction for where I went to grade school (local Catholic) in Elk Grove Village. Could not believe that they went out of the village for the event instead of the local country club, but oh well. The week after I have two meetings for work and need to get packed for the Dells. Last week the workerbees for the village found out that we could take 5 days off for Christmas with or without pay; our choice. One of the days is a floater and the other a holiday. So Dave and I are going to visit my sister in southern IN the 26-28th. Somewhere in there I need to figure out what to buy for my 2 nieces and 2 nephews for Christmas (the ones we buy for). WOW - when do I breathe?? I have not said uncle yet but am about to because I have still not done all of my yard work for the end of the season and mentioned to Dave what he could help me with over the next few days which is really, really simple. He has been so super with doing some things around the house during that day so I do not have to face it after work. It is so hard to hand over control sometimes. And no he still does not have a contract yet - tho one is still promised. Go figure, but it is still all in God's hands not ours.
In Him,
Christine
