Good Morning Illinois,

I have just come in from the balcony and things out there look the same as they have on any other night.

My schedule for today is as yet undetermined.  It should include fairly soon finding a way to get in six to eight hours of sleep.

May we all have a wonderful day and continue on a path to weight loss.

Randy

So you have been forgiven?

Good Morning to you. 6 hourd sleep would be a luxury. I am lucky to get 5.

Has anyone seen Christine and Dave? It seems unusual that she hasn't checked in.

It wil be another long day at work. The good thing is its Wed. and we are almost over that midweek hump. It also looks like another nice day, Each one of these is a gift in itself.

Before i leave this morning I need to take the Halloween decorations to the basement and start to bring the Xmas stuff up. The problem we have is that we have to go outside to go down. We have no inside entrance, so, I like to get  some upstairs before the snow and ice starts. Its a safety thing for me.

Now I need to get ready for work.

hugs

Hello everyone

I'm sooo tired this morning I stayed up late watching the election.  It was very exciting watching history last night.  So I'm sitting here at work yawning.  I went and voted with my friend last night then we went out to eat.  Then she came over to my house to see if our guy was winning.  I ended staying up past 1am and had to get up at 4:30.  I am tired....

Everyone have a nice day.

Good Morning Randy and Illinois

It is morning isn't it?    Anyone have any toothpicks to prop open the ole eyes this morning?  I stayed up too late last night glued to the TV watching the election coverage.  I wanted to hear both McCain and Obama's speeches.  Both were very eloquent.  Both were true gentlemen with class.

Todays mission is to get through hump day awake.  Then I can come home and sleep.  Sounds great at this point.  It is another beautiful day.

I keep putting in for a day off with no pay and so far no luck.  Maybe I will get lucky today!  If so, I will go help stuff stocking for the soldiers overseas.  I am part of a group that sends about 13,000 stockings to our servicemen for Christmas.  We have been doing this for 4 years.  Usually I take at least one day off to help but since I have no vacation time, I cant this year.

Have a great day!

Good morning all.  I took the day off as a sick day.  I've been feeling run down and I decided I needed a rest.  I'll still end up monitoring my team from home, but at least I get to relax a little.  I was excited to see the great turn out for the election.  I was also excited to see the historic changes that came with the outcome of the results.  I grew up in Cook county which is very strongly democrat and now I live in McHenry county which is very strongly republican and in both cases, it is easy to feel like your individual vote dosen't count for much.  I always vote and I always seem to be outside the norm in my choices.  But it is nice to see the country as a whole, vote for change and transcend the old predjudices.  Whether Obama is your choice or not, he is a good man and I think that his color should never have been an issue.  I truely believe that the next four years can be a time of unity in the country and hopefully some recovery and healing.

Last night I went and signed the enrollment papers for massage therapy medical school, so it's official.  By this time next year, I should be a certified and licensed therapist!  Have a great day everybody!

Good Morning,

I have a 11:30 doctors appt. w/ Dr.Wallace at the new Hoffman Estates location.  It should be interesting....I don't feel like I need a fill, but I've been stuck at the same weight for 3 weeks now.  It's so frusterating because I'm at 160 and I'm dying to get in the 150's!  I feel great though!  Maddie got her report card last week and she got all B's and one A.  I am very proud of her!  I hope everyone is doing good!  I have to start posting more.  I find that I keep on track when I check in everyday.  I will let everyone know how my appt. went when I get home.

Good morning Randy and the rest of Illinois!

I am working today, but it has been very slow this week.  I am very grateful to have a job as so many people are having issues in that area, but I prefer to be busy.  I always feel that I can be doing so many other things at home when I am not busy here.

Both kids get to come straight home after school, so they are going to make dinner.  Spaghetti and garlic bread.  I will eat my "Itallian Surprise", which is Italian sausage, sauce, mushrooms on cottage cheese with a bit of parmesan instead of the bread and noodles.  I made some pesto, I wonder if that will work in there somewhere?

Not only are Christine and Dave MIA, but so is Eileen.  We haven't heard back from Lucy about her LA trip, and Pam S and Ronna have been scarce also.  All Lurkers--------come out, come out wherever you are!!!!!

That's about it for me today, same ol', same ol'.

Everyone enjoy this beautiful day, there are not too many left.........

Morning to my IL family,
I don't say good this morning because I am very sad today.  I lost my beloved guenia pig, Hank this morning.  He was having seziures on and off since late last night and this morning while I was holding him and telling him it was okay to go, he had a big one and left me.  We buried him in the back yard next to his rattie brother, who just died in Sept. I tell ya, this year has not been a good one for me and my pets.  We are now down to only the 2 dogs.  So anyway I am sad today.

I have to box up a bunch of stuff I sold on Ebay and then run some errands.  I might get my haircut as well.

I hope everyone has a good day

Monica

Thank you Dawn. Yes our pets here are definately a part of our family.  I guess I should rejoice since when I adopted him he wasn't supposed to live 6 more months and that was 2 1/2 yrs ago.  It's amazing what love can do, he lived a lot longer than he was supposed to.
