Good Sunday Morning Roll Call
Well, I hope you all remembered to turn your clocks back and enjoyed that extra hour of sleep last night! It sure felt good.
I popped on the net while eating breakfast then it is off to church for me. I've got to do laundry and grocery shopping today as well.
Had a nice relaxing day yesterday. Talked to my sister and got the biggest kick out of my 3 year old great niece. She told me she voted for "Rock Obama." Then I heard her Grandpa tell her John McCain was the man and she told me she was going to vote for John McCain!
They are not sure where she got the Barack Obama from as her parents are MCcCain fans. But it sure is funny. Out of the mouths of babes.

Nancy I know what you mean, my grandsons are 6 and 7 and at school they have been doing mock voting, well they both voted Mc Cain. They then try to tell me why I should vote McCain. I told them that's my secret since I really do not have any idea at this time. They both give good points then they say something stupid!! So we shall see!
Today's agenda back to the woods to make a ladder, and side rails on the deer stand. Hope it doesn't take all day I really want to get the windows finished with plastic while the weather is somewhat nice...I need to also run to Peoria Wally World to get some little plastic jewelry bags for the flags we folded to give to the Veterans on the 11Th. We have school that day and have a parade and food for them its a lot of fun to hear some of the men and women's stories from their days in the service.
Well off I go have a glories day and enjoy this weather its not going to last!

Good Morning all,
I thought I'd get to sleep in a little this am...no such luck woke up at 5am with an upset tummy. Probably was from eating in the car yesterday on the road. Funny, it never used to bother me before.
I've been taking down the Halloween decorations and putting up the Thanksgiving ones this morning. I love decorating for Fall except for cleaning up the real leaves in the yard. It's funny because I strew the silk ones in the living room around the fireplace & mantel, of course they are easy to pick up as they are on a vine, wish the ones in the yard were so easy to clean up. We only have two trees in our yard but it seems like all the neighbors leaves blow this way. Last year we hired a friends teenage sons to come rake them up after they all had fallen down. Have to call them again soon. The older one(16) is really helpful when he is here, have used him to cut grass and use the snow blower when it is too much to handle. He works as hard as any man. The younger on (13) likes to stand around alot and watch his brother work, too busy on his cell phone. The last time we asked only for Jeff to come and cut the grass.
Well guess I'd better go and finish up the living room. We have a benefit to go to this afternoon for Krabbe Disease. Our good friends baby died from it when he was only 9 months old. Their foundation helps other families going through the same thing. Research done at Duke University has shown umbilical cord stem cell transplants as a viable treatment for this horrible disease. If anyone would like info on this you can go to www.liamsmemorialfoundation.org . Ok time to get off my soapbox....sorry this is a subject near and dear to my heart.

Hopefully the weather will stay nice for a few more days. I'm still not ready for winter. Today I'm going to visit the newest grandson. He is such a cutie! Ava and Vince both are being very helpful to mommy. I guess he's a keeper to them.

Good Morning Nancy, Karen and the whole of Illinois.
We did remember to turn the clocks back last night. All but one got done. That one is a real pain, since you have to go through each hour. Its the grandfather clock, and I love it, but it is a pain to reset.
Yesterday, my girls and I went to Emerson Creek tea room amd pottery in Oswego. It is a nice tea room, a little pricy, and a limited menu, but it may be something to do in the spring. They do take reservations.
I also went to Michaels and picked up spme floral picks to wrap my candlesticks and candlestick lamps with. I just about have them done. A very cheap and new decoration for the winter holidays. I will try to post the picture of them later today.
I have a load of laundry in the washer, and as soon as it is done, and dryed, I will go shopping.. I did get one holiday gift yesterday, and ordered Mystic topaz necklaces for my girls. Also got ideas for the guys (gift cards). The girls will get Starbucks gift cards.Morgan will get a gift card from McD's. So I think the Holiday list is almost done.
I also want to get my outside lights upstairs. Not up, but at least conveient. Also want to bring up the village. So when I decide to put it up, it will be easy to do. We have to go outside to get to the basement, so when the weather starts to get bad, I hate to have to do it.
Can ya say I have a bit of ambition today? Not sure if everything will get done, but I am trying to. I also have a dreaded back bedroom that is trashed

Nancy, kids can say the darndest things can't they? they're so cute. My kids are older now and the 12 and 14 yr old are have strong opinions on each candidate and have valid points too. lol
I had the most amazing day yesterday, which I will post about seperately.
Today I have no real plans, homework, play some pogo on line and then pick up my boys from their dad. He lives all the way up in Wauconda now, so we meet 1/2 way on Fridays and Sundays. It's a pain in the butt, but it beats driving all the way.
The weather looks to be very nice outside and so I will probably take the dogs for a walk later too. Not sure if I will do it alone or not, I am finding that I need alone time lately to do some serious thinking about the direction my life is heading.
