Cold sores....????

Crap! I jinxed myself, just the other day I said how it's been ages since I've gotten a cold sore and whammo...I just got the tingling and now I not only have 1 but 3 front and center on my top lip!   Before surgery I used a scrip pill, Valtrex, for them, but does anyone know if this will still work as well with malabsorbtion issues??  I also use Herpacin Lip stuff...I hate these darn things and they hurt!!

can't help you Monica, just wanted to say I am sorry you are hurting. I almost never get them.

thank you Lisa.  Be glad that you don't get them often.  I have gotten them my entire life.  When I was little I would get the covering both my top and bottom lips. My mom would let me stay home from school it was so bad.

I use to get them all the time, winter,summer, spring or fall.  Now it seems to be more in the winter or when I get really really stressed.  Like you when I get them I get them good, usually it will be 2 or 3 at a time.  As soon as I feel that tingle I'm putting the script on that I have, Zovirax. I feel for ya and I hope they go away quickly!!

Will I jinx myself if I say I have been lucky enough to have never gotten cold sores.  They look so painful.  If I had them I would probably pick at them.  I pick at every thing. 

Hope they go away soon.
