Thank you Annie and you are right, if everyone in the house ate a single portion size, the bill would be a lot cheaper i am sure and like you said, the amount I eat, isn't even comparable to what the rest eat, especially him!

That's about all I can say after agreeing that he is out of line.  I also agree that your new life is threatening to him, but that is HIS problem too.

I know that there is no easy solution.  You can try to serve just one serving to everyone, but then he will complain that he is "starving".  I am working on the 1 serving thing with Olivia right now, but the boys are another story.

thank you Dawn, yes the one serving thing is tough with boys, especially growing, going through puberty boys!  lol 

Two things or maybe three.

If the budget is too tight swallow your pride and type food pantry and your town into the search box.  They provide foods that have plenty of junk for for those who do not wish to eat healthy.  While there ask for tips on other ways to cut cost or other pantries you could go to as well as food stamps if your hubby does not make too much for that.

Second is that I have found when I am eating really healthy it actually cost less and it should be a lot less as we get smaller like Chris.

Sorry the hubby is being an insentitive jerk....I agree with everyone who said him to the store let him buy for himself and cook his own meals, then you and the boys can eat what you cook.  DOn't you dare let him bully you into going back where you came from.  You've worked hard to lose this weight and look GREAT!!!  So let him be insecure for a change, its all about you now.  You feel better, you look better and you are getting back your self-confidence.....YOU GO GIRL!!!!

We all agree that your husband was an ass for saying this and I agree that he may be reacting to your weight loss. Do not let his attitude sabatoge the hard work you've been doing, there are other forces in this world that would love to throw you off track.  What you spent was reasonable and perhaps he had something else that was bothering him and he took it out on you because you are fabulous!

Hi monica! I am right there with ya! When I ws reading this I thought you were talking about my hubby! I went to Jewel today and spent $212.00 for gorceries that will last for about 1-2 weeks. I thought I did pretty good becaause I will NOT buy crap anymore. I cant do it or I will gain everything back. My husband was so pissed because I did not shop "cheap" and spent way to much money. He is eating like **** all the time and I know misses the days when we used to eat together late at night. Well, he can kill himself, becasue I never want to go back to the old me! I hate food so much!! UGH! I feel for ya Monica!

How are you doing besides this? How are your boys?
