Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

Hello everyone

Nothing much going on today but work, work and more work.

After work I have to pick up some items from Wal-mart that I ordered online.  I started my Christmas shopping a few weeks ago.  I am always done with all of my shopping by Thanksgiving.  I hate the crowds at the stores during the Christmas season and the long lines.

I went to Mejier last night and bought a rotisserie chicken.  I love them.  They are so tasty and they are only $5.99.  Since I live by myself its good for about three meals.  Like last night I had Chicken, carrots and greebeans, tonight I am going to pick off some for a chicken salad and then I will have a chicken sandwich the next day.  Its a yummy and great way to eat healthy.  the best part is I don't have to cook.  I hate cooking.

Everyone have a good day.

Good Morning,

Janet, I go tomorrow for my 1 year checkup too. today is work, then home. Not sure if I am gong to do errands tonight or not. I'm leaning to coming home and either vegging out or doing housework, that I won't get done tomorrow. Housework-vegging out hmmmmm.

I will be working by myself today, since my co-worker has a meeting. I probly will spend more time on the phone explaining why she isn't there, then doing my work.

They are showing rain for today. So, stay warm. What is on your agenda today?

Hugs

Good morning Janet and the rest of Illinois!

Janet & Lisa---Good luck on the one-year check ups.  Time sure flies when we are changing our lives, doesn't it?

I need to stop by Wally World after work tonight also!  David's dog needs food, and we need laundry supplies.

Not much else for today.  The boys have Scouts tonight, so it will be Liv and I fending for ourselves.  I really like Thursdays, because that's the night I usually crawl into bed early with a good book and watch whatever I want on TV.

Everyone have a glorious day!

Tell someone that you love them!

Annie, I am having the rny. I have done the liquid diet about 2 years ago thru a doctor over at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, and I was on it for about 6 months and lost a ton of weight but of course when you go back to eating again guess what you gain it back. So I know it's hard to do but it is possible. I went with the rny because I heard it was the best for diabetes.

Good morning Janet and IL friends.

Janet and Lisa - Good luck at your doctor's appointments.

I've got mine tomorrow too. I think it's time for a change. I'm going to ask Dr. Guske to remove some of the fluid from my band. Although I have a lot of restriction, it's causing me problems with eating good proteins and encouraging me to eat the hi calorie, hi fat foods - that I don't need or won't help me lose the regain. The only thing I can say for it so far is that I haven't gained anymore since May. Maybe that's something, considering my history.

I didn't go boxing last night because I didn't feel good. I know the boxing workout is strenuous and didn't want to chance it. I felt bad about that, but oh well....

Not much on my plate today. Work and more work.

In a week, I'll be going to LA for the OH Halloween event. At least I have that to look forward to. I sure do miss my friends though, both here on the board and my close ones.

Has anyone heard from Pam or Ronna?

Wishing everyone a wonderful day.

Hugs,
Lucy

Good morning Janet and Illinois!

Not much going on here today....I think I've broke my plateau!...woohoo. When I went for my 6 month checkup I had gained two pounds from my visit there in August. I would lose a few and gain them back. I've now lost those two and another two....yeeeeaaah! Hope it keeps going!

Janet and Lisa...hope your one year checkups go well for both of you.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning my IL family
Today I have to run back to the high school and drop off Tyler's football girdle which he forgot at home.  This afternoon is  his last football game of the season and it's against Mike's alma mater, Glenbard North.  Should be a fun game and I really hope they win.  It's gonna be chilly too I am sure.  Other than that, nothing going on around here.  I woke up in a bad mood today and not sure why....I hate when that happens.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day today!

Monica

Good Morning IL!

I had my 2 week post op dr visit yesterday & all went well. They are happy with my weight loss so far. By their scale I was down 21 lbs and by mine it's 32 but that is because I was 3 days into liquid diet before I saw them for my preop. They say I am doing great. My incisions look great.....they say. I have one ugly one where my drain was but they said it will get better very soon. I can't go back to water aerobics until after I see him 2 months post op....so 6 more weeks out because he wants to amke sure the incision sights are healed. My next appt is Dec 10th. I took my camera to get a pic with him for my scrapbook of my WLS journey too. He was happy to oblidge. He is just such a nice dr and I am so happy that I was fortunate enough to do this in my life with him & his staff. They are all wonderful.
So they are happy & I am happy and I now get to move to eating real foods again. I have to ease into eating before I go headfirst. So I move to Phase III and in 2 weeks I can move to phase IV. They said my color looked great & I looked awesome.   So that is the update! Thank you for your continued support!!

Annie,
That's awesome. I can't wait, I have pre-op on Nov 5th. I m so looking forward to that day. Did you have diabetes, I do and I wanted to know how fast the surgery effects it. I really am looking forward to not having to do insulin injections anymore. Well keep up the good work.
