So I am 6 months out from surgery *March 25* and I am down about 87 lbs.

I am just worried because that seems low. I started at 360 and hope to get down to 150. So I need to lose 210lbs. I'm 6 months out and haven't even lost half that.

I'm just scared im not on track. just looking for words of encouragement or wisdom. Thanks

Hey Hon..  Personally, I think 87 lbs in 6mo is amazing.  You are being way too hard on yourself.  Have you ever lost 80lbs in that short of time?  My gosh, you have to feel so much better.  Maybe set more reachable goals each month.. You need to focus on getting healthy, not getting to a specific weight.

Congrats.

I am with Christina this, you are moving along.

I would suggest that you contact your doctor's office and touch base with a clinician there. Maybe you are not getting enough to eat and your body is hoarding some of the calories for the amount of physical activity that you do. Everybody's physiology is different. This might just be the pattern for your own particular weight loss.

If it's any consilation sweetie, I had my 6 month check up 2 weeks ago and they said that I am right on track and I lost 80.  You are doing awesome and when I start to get down about not losing faster I think back to all those time that I tried to lose 10 pounds and couldn't do that in 6 months!!  I also come here and my OH family keeps me grounded.
Love to you and I for one am very proud of you!!

You are doing awesome!

When is the last time you lost an average of 14.5 pounds per month?  I know that I NEVER did.

I was a "slow loser" also, and had my 2 year check up yesterday.  The docotr said that I am doing great.  I am at much lower risk for all obesity related health issues and I feel much better than I did 2-3 years ago.

I'm sure that you are feeling much better and can do many things that you could not do before.

Don't beat yourself up.  Keep with the program and you will get to feeling very healthy.

Tell someone that you love them!
