Friday Roll Call

Getting ready for the work day here in a short while. Had a great day at the conference I went to yesterday. Got some really good insight into the GenXer's and Millenial's in the workforce, Freedom of Info act, and hiring practices. There was more but do not want to bore you.
Tomorrow need to get out and spruce up the veggie containers and make them ready for winter before going to the Creek to serve lunch then back home afterwards to do more of the above until a party at the neighbors house for their annual Oktoberfest. Always neat for that because some is outside by the fire pit and inside if you get cold.

I go to visit my daughter this weekend. I'm actually spending the night at her apartment. Can you imagine. Your kids grow up so fast.
I made the appointment for the stress test. I found out its a much more detailed stress test than I have ever had. I have to have a nuclear stress test. I guess they take images of your heart before and after you jog on the treadmill. I was told it could take as long as 4 hours. So I took Monday off. This seems a little excessive I'm a fairly health 37 year old with no prior history of heart problems. But I'm going to do what ever they want me to do. I guess its better than not being careful enough.
My friend at work had a baby boy yesterday. I lost the pool by one day!!!
Have a nice Friday

Today I have nothing really planned during the day which is good because I have a headache this morning. Only my 2nd one since surgery! woohoo.. I am drinking a protien shake right now and waiting for kids to get up and out for school.
Later today after I get Tyler from football and drop him off at home, Jacob and I are heading up to Schaumburg to meet Mike and then set up for a Lutheran Marriage Encounter Weekend at a hotel up there. After we set up we head out to dinner with Mike's mom, then home.
Tomorrow is football and possible a dinner with a bunch of girlfriends at the Oakbrook Maggiano's. Not sure yet if I will go there or not.
Have a great day everyone

I do not think Maggiano's has a dress code. I have only been to the one in Schaumburg though for a breakfast meeting. Really fancy place but I would say just a step up from Spaghetti Warehouse. I would go in blue jeans and a polo if the group I was with would be comfortable with that. As far as the food though I have had their buffets several times when working as a realtor in Houston. You want to be prepared to not eat everything but there will likely be several salads, starters, and appetizers to choose from and there always seems to be sausages or meatballs. Lookout for the desserts.
I would say that depends on the store you go to. The ambiance of the SW store in Houston was definately as good as the Maggiano store in Schaumburg. Maggiano has a larger menu though. My favorite chain Italian though is http://www.bucadibeppo.com/locations/default.aspx?location=1 303
I have not been to one here though.
