Wednesday Roll Call

Hi and Good Morning to all my IL family.  It's been a while since I posted, so crazy with this moving!!!
We get the keys today!!!!!!!!  The official move is the 25th-we are still trying to round up my SILS to help.
It always amazes me, how many different hemmings and hawings I get when it comes down to crunch time.  At least I haven't heard "The dog ate my homework!"  If you need some exercise the 25th come join us!!!  Good to see everyone is well-hope you're feeling perkier Nancy, how did the test go Monica? Christina, how is your energy level?  Chris glad to see your neice is home-hope she stays stateside.   I saw the cardio on Mon. and she is so pleased w/me.  I'm down 10 lbs. since my last visit and she says she has never seen me look so healthy!!I don't need any major wor****il next year!!!  Life is good!  Big hugs and Hi's to all-Janet K

I am rested and caught up on the lost sleep, I think. I am about to make my b-fast here in a few minutes then off to buy gas and then to work. Have a meeting in Darien at 1 and then home to pick up my bike as I took it in for an annual tune up.

We found a really nice apt. in Lombard,right down North Ave. as the crow flys!!!  They are raising the rent here $270 a month when your flat is renovated and we just can't handle that!!!!  I think this place we found is going to be really nice and it has motivated Eddie to do something again.  He was so down he was really worrying me-he even was thinking of taking his trach out.  So it's the old close a door and open a window- we even will have a lake view from our patio!!!  Glad you're rested-Big Hugs-Janet K

This last move almost killed me.  I spent a month throwing out things in Houston and getting things in boxes and still moving day was all day even with help from some of DD's friends.  We spent a few days on the road and I wanted to spend a night at our other DD's but my go-go wife said we had to come on in here.  We got here and spent the night in a hotel then began to unload and it became clear I was at the end of what I could physically do.  We had a U-haul truck and they connected us with a service called E-move and after one bad hook up we found a service that sent us two guys who quickly got the truck unloaded and everything in the right room.  One hour $95.00 total.

Continuing to live and not going to the hospital.  Priceless.

Hello everyone

I'm here at work as always.  Half the week is gone, Friday here we come!!!  Not much going on.  We are getting our boss a massage at a spa in our area here, for bosses day.

Good morning Janet and Illinois.  I thought I was up early, but guess not.  Tomorrow is another visit to the PS.  Today is rain, rain and more rain. 

I didn't get out my craft stuff yesterday, so I may do that today.  I may have to be cheap this Christmas and make most of my gifts.

I posted to your other post, but I just remembered.......picture frames too!

Oriental Trading Company has lots of cheap craft supplies.  One year, we got the paper mache' picture frames and the kids painted them and embellished them with glitter, buttons, stickers, etc.......

I have a cookbook full of the "mix in a jar" gift recipes.  If there is something in particular that you like, I could look in there for a recipe and forward it on.

Mmmmmmmmmmmm...........maybe a gift-mix R.O.D.?  I'll think about it.

It's Wednesday already!  wow.  Janet I hope everything goes well with your move...where are you moving to?

My tests went okay, glad they are done that's for sure. They were hard!  I won't get results back now for a few weeks.

Today the kids only have 1/2 day of school, so they will start walking back in the door about 11:30am....Tyler is the only one who will just stay at school for football practice later.  I will do some homework (starting the medical assisting classes now) and just hang out.  Did anyone watch that show last night called Opportunity Knocks?  I know that family that was on there.  She is a friend of mine from a stepfamily board I belong too.  I recorded it because I watch House...lol  I will watch that today too so I can see how well her family did.

Good Morning Janet and the whole of Illinois.

Janet, It is nice that your DH is getting motivated. A move will do that to people. It will also give you a whole new outlook on things. When my girls moved, the y had 2 men and a truck come and move the big stuff. It wasn't that expensive, and no one had to lift the heavy stuff.

Dee, I will post some ideas for you on your post. But, homemade is always better then just buying anything at the store.

I will be going to work here as soon as the sun comes up. Right now the garbage trucks are picking up trash on our street.  Nothing exciting today, I know it will be busy.

The DGD is coming tomorrow night to spend a couple of days. She told her mom that she misses us. Its only been 3 weeks. But, who are we to complain.

It is hump day!    Glad to see so many people up and at em this morning.  This is going to be a drive by post as I am running late this morning.  Glad to see everyone has things running well in their lives.  Will try to post more tomorrow.
