Tuesday Roll Call

Thanks guys-
I guess I didn't realize how much testing is required.  I knew I had to go to have my heart and lungs checked.  I assumed that because I have no issues that I would be cleared right away.  I'm an impatient person and I was looking to be cleared right away.  Especially since I have never had any problems.  That said the pulmonologist wants me to wear a pulse-ox machine because I told him I snore.  Apparenly, I snore pretty loudly too.  Now I'm worried that I will have to do a sleep study.  Those sound very uncomfortable.  I doubt I will be able to sleep well under those conditions.   One good thing is I had my gallbladder out already.  But what are chemical tests???

A chemical stress test is where they have an IV going with a drug that causes the heart to accelerate and then they monitor how it reacts. They will do this for a person that cannot tolerate the walking on a treadmill. My husband was 55+ BMI and could barely walk about 300 yards.

I do have pulmy and cardio issues.  I am grateful that the pulmy does what they do for me.  I wish I could have done all this when I was small enough to have the test for the cardio.  The cardio guys are just guessing in my case instead of having a way to run test and take pictures.  Hopefully I can get close to 400 and fit in their machines before WLS.

I think its horrible they don't make machines capable to fit bigger people.  I have a friend that didn't fit in the machine that zaps kidney stones.  She had to suffer for so long before she had relief.  If I ever developed kidney stones the same thing would happen to me, because we were about the same size.  That worries me.  I feel better knowing that I am getting this surgery to help me lose this weight.  My greatest fear is I will end up like one of those 1200 lb people they show on the discovery channel.

Good morning Christine and the rest of Illinois!

Christine, enjoy your visit.  It is great to have family time.

Paul, you sound great!  Congratulations on getting your 1st degree.

Crystal, just remember that all these "hoops" are for your protection to make sure you are as ready for surgery as you can be.

Nancy,  I know what you mean about the full moon.  Man, those people can get crazy!

Lisa, I hope your day is not too hectic.

I am working today, then not sure if I am going to Liv's game, or over to visit my aunt.  Probably to Liv's game, as I just saw my aunt on Saturday.

I am thinking of going into Chicago to a party that my brother invited me to on Saturday.  He even said I can stay at his place!  Long story......but suffice it to say that the offer is almost too good to pass up, and he has not extended his home to me/us in many, many years.  I feel that he is making a gesture that I should try to accept if I can arrange things.

Not too much else going on at the moment.

Everyone have a spectacular, if cooler, fall day!

Tell someone that you love them!

Morning all!  I am feeling okay today.  I have been reading, and I am gonna get out some craft work to do since I am just sitting around.  My pastor is also coming over today to visit.  I can't wait for that, my devotional booklet is wore out, and I am so glad I am once again back in church, I have a different outlook on life.

Hi Everyone -
I can't believe it's only Tuesday.  LOL  What a long week it has been already.  We are very short staffed at work so it's been busier then it usually is.
Life is good, can't complain.  I have a wonderful hubby, great friends, a job, a roof over my head.

Have a great day!

HI all just checking in.  Well today is my last day of solid food. Tomorrow I start my liquid diet for 2 weeks till my surgery.  I think, I'm ready. Have my protien supplements, low fat chicken broth and diet drink. Also stocked some carnations instant breakfast, soy milk and diet jello.  My husband tried to get me to go for a last hurrah...but what's the point... I think he's just looking for a hurrah as he was diagnosed with diabetes yesterday.

Anyway, it's good to see everyone doing so well although it sounds like we are all a bit over worked.   I have a lot to do before my surgery and I have a retreat to go too. I'm trying to get a quilt ready so when I'm off work recovering I have something productive to do.

So anyone have any advice on doing the liquids.

Hey Lady Bug -
You will do just fine.  Keep focused on the reward once you complete that 14 days.  It's an amazing journey.  Just get thru the first few days and you should be smooth sailing.  I think if you have a positive mind set, you will do great.

You can do it!

Well randy7771026 at YouTube is busy for two days in a row.  I must be felling pretty good because videos are clearly work.  I have a goal of posting one every day M-F.  That will be easier when I get the forms finished and in the mail.  I have all of the numbers I just found out yesterday I have more stae forms to do and I have to back track and redo what I have done and then something needs to be done for the rebate check by 10/15 as well.  Not that I will get it but it will be less to owe.
