Happy Saturday to one and all and welcome home all of the newest "loosers". We also have had a few new posters on the board and welcome to all of you also.

Dave and I are going out to St Charles for the Scare Crow Festival today. It runs through tomorrow also. We have never been to it but it sounds cute and fun and we will also get a lot of walking in. Here is the link http://www.scarecrowfest.com/ first we will speak at the Kane Center seminar.

The rest of my furniture will be delivered on Monday and I am really looking forward to that. I have not forgotten about taking pictures of the pillows I was just waiting for the rest of the chairs and one table.

Tomorrow we will go to the Loop to watch the Chgo Marathon from Moody Bible Institute. They have a large team that is participating in it and we will cheer them on from right by the school. Again more walking for us. The trains will probably be jammed tomorrow also.

Christine

Good morning Christine and Illinois!

I was just checking out the scarecrow fest yesterday....it sounds like fun! Speaking of fun.....I hope Carla and Paulette are having a good time in Frankenmurth! It was soo nice to see them on Thursday!

My son is getting his new furnace and air conditioner installed today...he's been working on putting in the hardwood floors. I think I'll go there today and see how the floors look. Not a lot planned for this weekend, but we will get in a couple of walks today and tomorrow.

Hope your all doing well....get out and enjoy the day!

Good Morning Christine and all of Illinois land.

Christine, you and Dave always seem to have such interesting plans for the weekends.

No big plans for me. We didn't make it home depot yesterday, so, depending on what time Hubert gets home today, we will decide if we are going to take the ride over there.

Yesterday I ended up coming down with a cold and sinus infection. I normally stay healthy during the fall and winter. I really think its the way my office temps vary. My local office is always under 70, they would like to keep it at 50 I think. So, I freeze. Then one of the others are over 80. And since I travel amoung the offices..........

I can't remember who was talking about spaggetti squash the other day, but, I got one at the store yesterday, and I think that with meatballs and sauce will be my dinner tonight. I had forgotten all about it, so when it was mentioned here, my taste buds perked up.

I hope everyone has an interesting day, its suppose to be warm.

Hugs

I love spaghetti squash!  I treat it like pasta!  I put sauce and use Soy crumbles instead of ground beef and it tastes great!  I also like to eat it just roasted in the oven with a little bit of butter on it.  YUMMOOOO!!!!  Enjoy it!!

Thanks Eileen. I just was unable to remember who loved it. Aren't the subs great! you can make califlower into "mash potatoes", soy into "meat", zuchinni into "wide noodles" and squash into "spaggetti". I remember having mock chicken legs at some time too, but I can't rememberr how they were made.

This is the first recipe that I came to when I Googled Mock Chicken Legs. It is basically how my mom used to make them http://www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,1827,132186-244194,00.html

Yes we get out a lot but remember that Dave and I never had any kids so we are foot loose and fancy free - we can come and go as we please.

Regarding viruses - I feel and have read that it is that your body has to be run down before you come down with it. ALSO - stress runs down the body big time and makes it suseptible to an illness.

Good morning friends!

The workshop yesterday was fabulous! What a great school and a great faculty! I enjoyed myself and I think they enjoyed my presentation. After all, who needs information on stress these days? LOL

Of course I did some knitting later and then we had a lovely dinner at Anderson Gardens. The fall menu is really expensive so I think I'll stick to lunch and breakfast there in the future. The leaves were  beautiful though. The gift shop is cool too. If  you haven't been to the gardens--remember this is the number one Japanese garden outside of Japan! And it's right here in Rockford!

Some shopping today and some knitting and that's about it for me.

Welcome to all the new posters! This is a great support place.

Enjoy the lovely weekend!

Going to lunch today, for a stir fry! I love Flat Top. You go through a buffet line like and pick your veggies, meats and rice if you want it then at the end you put a little paddle stick in your bowl then the cook it for you and bring to your table. They will do them in wraps, make it a soup or just stir fry it up. Its always more then I can eat and if you only go up one time to put one together its $6.99 and you can take whats left with you. If you do the endless bowl the charge like 8.99 and it cost extra if you carry whats left out...That's their way of keeping people from making one just for carry out! Not fair but that's their policy. Still a good place to dine at and the sauces up on the board has weigh****chers points on them. I usual add a small amount of all three meats, pork, chicken and beef since the beef is very lean.

OK welcome to all the new losers. Glad to mover over to make room!

Welcome to all the newbies, this is a very friendly group of fine people, soon it will be your turn to become a losers as well!

Everyone with plans enjoy your day, I am going to try and get in a 5 mile walk but the hip is achy so we will see.

Have a great sunny day to all!

Karen
