Approved today !! What comes next?

Good morning!

I just got off the phone with my insurance company who told me I am approved for lap-band!

I could not be more excited.....or nervous!

So can anyone tell me what needs to be done between now and surgery?  I know I need an endoscopy and not sure what else.  I am attending a support group on the 18th.

Jen, get in contact with the Kane Center and ask your insurance girl (Michelle or Maggie) what needs to be done next. Keep in mind when you call that they sometimes take up to 24 hours to respond back to you.

Michelle has been my insurance person, she has been great.  I put in a call to her and am waiting to hear back.  It does usually take about 24 hours but she always does call back.

I was just too excited and had to post!  I think I may have seen you & your husband at a seminar back in Jan. or feb.  The seminar was great, I was impressed with the doctor and presentation. The people who came to share their stories was very helpful too. It helps you to realize you are not alone.

Congrats to you on your approval. I bet things will start moving really fast now and you will be banded and on your way to a new beginning before you know it.

The Kane center will give you a contact person for anything you need handled before surgery.

Mine was Bessie and she was awesome.  She went through everything I needed to do before surgery.

It's nice to have one person to call or email when you have questions.
