Good morning Paul and the rest of Illinois!

I wish you a wonderful and peaceful holiday (Yom Kippur), Paul.  The Reiki sounds great, I wonder if I can find a class close to Rock City!   Maybe you will become a master and teach us all.

Christina, hang in there, at least they are trying to do something to help, and unfortunately, December will be here before we know it.

Crystal, congratulations on raising your daughter into adulthood.  It is no easy task, believe me, I know.  I hope you will get to celebrate with her?

Nancy, I know what you mean about "idiots" on the phone.  Some days, I swear that there is something in the air that just makes people forget to think.

My car is back and seems to be fine.  I guess I will get back to trusting it after a while.

Liv has a volleyball game tonight, and after practice, it is Family Night with the Boy Scouts.  I probably will have to run into Freeport to get the pizzas for that.  Lots of running.......

That's about it for me today.  Everyone have a glorious day!

Tell someone that you love them!

Thanks for the encouragement.  For those who've asked, Reiki has 3 levels of training.  The third level is that of master.  My Master actually breaks the third level into two parts to bring down the expense.  One part is for the skills that a Master uses in performing Reiki.  The other part is the technics for teaching others.  I am fairly committed (to myself) to go through the third level of skills, although I will wait to see how quickly I travel that path.  But I will not decide on the teaching aspect until I get closer to that place.  My general nature in life is to teach others what I learn, but my first commitment to myself is for my own development.  However, if I do go through to being a teaching Master, I would be glad to bring it to Rock City!  Kind of a bold statement from someone who is just at the begining of his training!  But that's what happens when you teach a guy like me to do tie-dye!!!

Good Morning Paul and my IL family,
It's Thursday already, where does the time go?  yikes.
Today I have to take Austyn back to the Dr, this cough that he has just will not go away.  I am afraid that he's got pneumonia or something.  I am keeping him home from school.  My decision as his dad is in Merryville IN all day today for work.
Tonight after I pick up Tyler from football we are heading to the middle school where the play "just desserts" will be performed...Jacob has a very small part, but he usually does the lighting anyway.  I am looking forward to it.
That's it in my neck of the woods, other than studying some more.  My exam got moved to Sunday instead of Monday....

I hope everyone has a wonderful and sunny day!

Monica

I am here but still pretty tired from our company because I was constantly straightening up and cleaning while they were there. On Saturday I was on my feet most of the day with my hands in soapy water washing serving pieces etc.

I have my niece coming in on Monday/Tuesday morning at about 1230am from LA. This is the one that went into the Navy, she is coming back from her "A" school. She will stay the night with us then will get back into civilian life until she needs to go monthly for their training while in the reserves. I also have the rest of my furniture delivered on Monday for the living room. I have Columbus Day off as a paid holiday.

Good morning Friends!

I've been lurking all week but have been busy with paperwork--the bane of my existence! Today I am caught up and so I slept later than usual. After I get off line I am going to go vote since we will be on vacation on election day.

The Univ of IL doesn't take Columbus day as a holiday. I often do because we have frequently gone to Door Co for this weekend. This year we aren't going because I have a convention in Seattle coming up soon so I though that was enough time out of the office.

My "baby" was 32 yesterday-- the age I was when he was born. It's hard to believe my kids are as old as they are. I understand why my mother always says that to me!

Well, I am off the the polls! Have a great day! It looks pretty outside!

Right now im trying to quite smoking. Havent had any for a couple days now. Is harder than I thought. Trying to also change my eating habits.. trying liquids and smoother foods. I've read on OH about an angel. I don't have one and really not sure how to get one. But anyways I just wanted to say hi and hope everyone has a great and safe weekend.

Welcome Stacie!  You have come to a great place for support.  We are a fairly tight group of folks and will be here for you as you go through your WLS.  From time to time someone will even host a gathering and then we get to meet each other in person.  We have a daily roll call to get things started and if there isn't one up, it means that you are the early bird!  So just start the thread and you will see it grow rather quickly.  If you have any questions about WLS, nutrician, protein powder, car repair, knitting, animal care, etc...  Just ask and somebody usually has some good advice.

Conrats on the surgery date.  I wish I could say I was getting my surgery soon.  I am fairly new here on the Illinois board and everyone is very welcoming and friendly.  Post on the daily roll call and let us know how you are doing.

I heard about angels too, but I'm not exactly sure what one is or what they do.  I'm sure someone here will answer both of our questions.

Have good day and good luck on your surgery.
