Monday Roll Call
I will be heading for work in a bit. I am working in town today, and since I left the laptop plugged in over the weekend, I don't have to lug it in to work. Plus, its all set ready to go.
After work I need to get my flu shot. DH's company gives them free, so I want to take advantage of it. Also have a few more errands to run. I hope I am done at work at a reasonable time today.
Christina, Good Luck on your job interview. Nancy, Ihave problems with my knees too, but, keeping my fingers and toes crossed, I won't be needing any shots yet. Randy, you will find a job. Lucy, what time did you go to work this morning?
Have a great day!
Hugs

Thanks everyone on the good luck.. I think the interview went very well. Of course, it's one of those things you just never really know. I'll be mailing out my thank you letters and hope for the best. I have to turn it over to my higher power and see what happens. It will all work out in His time.
HUGS,
Christina
Yesterday we went to Menard's and got some paint for our living room I got brave and am doing one wall a dark color (chilled wine) today I am going to get a light color for the other three walls, them I think I am going to try to make covers for my throw pillows, and get some new curtains that will give the room a new look.

That is what is going on in my world, I hope every one has a good week.

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!
I have kind of the same thing in my family room. I have the fireplace wall a dark burgandy and the other walls a sandy color. I love it . It always reminds me of a logde and is very cozy and warm feeling. It is my favorite room in the house.
When we moved into this house, it had all white walls. Now there is color on every wall! I thought I was crazy when I started, but now I love it. My husband was Mr White walls and now is a convert to color. I did our bedroom in a darker brown, I think it is called "country club" and I know Jeff thought I was nuts at first, Now he loves it too. It is a very large room and can handle the dark walls, plus our bedding and curtains etc.. is a much lighter color and it all matches well. I took the color out of the bedding, it was the smallest amount of dark color, and I put it all over the walls!
Good luck with the colors, take a pic and show us! Remember, it is only paint and if you absulutely hate it, you can paint over it!!!
Nice weekend out with the kids and boy, I went to a party on Sunday that boosted my ego sky-high! Some folks there had not seen me in about 3-4 months so they were making such lovely comments about how good and healthy i looked, etc. We should bottle that stuff and sell it and make a fortune! Sigh.
Have a great day!

Good morning!
We had a lovely and productive weekend with cleaning out clothes. There are going to be some well dressed people who shop at the Salvation Army and wear 3,4,and 5X clothes! I must have had every knit shirt that Lands End sells--all long sleeve and turtle necks. Since menopause I'm not that cold any more and can't stand them. And pleated pants--I stocked up on corduroy size 26 when Land's End stopped making them for a while and they have never been worn. Most people in size 26 shouldn't be wearing corduroy except for warmth! I hope some homeless people get them!
Still had time to knit a little but not much.
Have a good day!

I had a WONDERFUL weekend! I went with a group of friends to the New Kids on the Block concert on Saturday night, it was a BLAST!!! I am still on a high from the concert! lol
I also am down 80 pounds as of this morning!
Not too much going on today, just babysitting during the day, then soccer practices and Karate class tonight. I am hoping once I am down another 40 pounds or so, to join Karate also. We'll see!
Have a great day everyone! Enjoy the weather!
Mommy to Brandon (7), Colin (5), Alex (3), and Kelsey born 6/24/09!

We had an eventful weekend.
My car is STILL in the shop, and on Saturday morning, Todd came in from an errand and said that HIS transmission was having some sort of problem, and it would not go more than 30 mph. We decided right then that is was the good Lord's way of telling him that he had procrastinated long enough on getting a new(er) car. We went into out to our friendly car salesman and he test drove a bunch of vehicles and settled on a 2006 Grand Prix that he really enjoyed driving.
Since this is the same lot where I bought my car 5 years ago, the salesman reminded me that I am entitled to a loaner. He set me up with a loaner car to use until mine is repaired, even though they are not the service center that is repairing my car at the moment. Let me tell you, they WILL be in the future. I had just forgotten what awesome customer service these people believed in. I guess we are just so accustomed to having things done for us in Rockford, that we forget about Freeport. We will NOT be making that mistake again.
David's homecoming "1st date" went very well also. He looked very handsome and his date was very cute. They both clean up really well. We took them to a restaurant in Freeport and they had their own table while Todd, Liv, Riley and I sat a few tables away. I even saw a friend from our Rockford group there. The kids had a great time at the dance and her mom brought them home then hung out at our house for a while so we got to know each other better. I think we all have new friends.
Yesterday, I made a turkey dinner and we took Riley back to her parents.
Today, I will wait to hear about when my car might be finished, but I do not have anxiety over it any more.
I wish everyone a glorious day!
