Hospitals are noisy places to sleep. I took earplugs and an Ipod to block out music. I dont know how much you will feel like being on your lap top. I would also hate to see it go missing. I might think twice about taking it to the hospital. Also you will want a sports bra rather than a regular bra for at least a few weeks and underwear for the hospital.
If you use a c-pap machine, they want you to bring that as well. Dont forget slippers that are easy to get on and off.
This is such an exciting for you! Good luck and we are scooting down to make room for you on the losers bench.

You might want to take your measurements.....they will come in handy when you plateau and are feeling depressed that your not loosing. You can then compare your pre-surgery measurments with where your at at six months....seven months...
I also take a picture on the 8th of each month...the monthly anniversary of my surgery....They are a good source for visually seeing where your body has gone...especially when your not seeing it in the mirror. Believe me even if you don't notice the changes...others will and pictures don't lie...they really help.
I wish for you a speedy recovery...remember the mantra: walk, walk, walk, sip, sip, sip, rest, rest, rest. We'll move over to make you a spot on the loser's bench!

Looks like you got it covered girlfriend. If you have some sort of slip on shoes I would suggest wearing them.. Kinda like the slip on tennis shoes of sorts. You will not want to be bending over to put shoes on and you'll be walking the floors of the hospital.. you can walk around in the slip proof socks they give you but I have a problem walking bear foot so the slip ons worked good for me. One other thing I was so glad I had. flushable baby wipes. I had open gastric bypass and found a little bit of problem being able to wipe real good because of the reach and bending then being 400lbs on top of it all made it hard. This was the best suggestion someone had made to me. Just pack some in a zip lock baggie. You don't have to tote the whole container.
I'll be thinking about you and sending good thoughts your way.

Looks like you have everything, I want to wish a safe surgery and speedy recovery
Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!
