Hi Lisa. I had a busy day. Did some shopping at Gurnee Mills. I found a pair of white leather tennis shoes, 2 tops, 1 skirt, 5 bikini panties, and some kitchen items.

My mom was funny about the underwear. She said "who's going to see it." I said, you never know! I don't think she heard me say that. LOL!

I walked a lot today.

You're in for a surprise when you start getting into the regular misses sizes and start wearing 12, 10, 8....

Congrats on your success Lisa!

Hugs and Love,
Lucy

Good morning Lucy and Illinois

Well today has been busy so far.  I went to church and the grocery store for my weekly shopping.  Everything is put away and I am catching up on the computer.

This afternoon I have a doctors appointment.  Yes on a Sunday.  A hand specialist who grew up in the area comes back once a month or every other month to see patients and operate.  I have arthritis in a lot of my joints including my thumb.  I get injections to help.  Lately I cannot pick anything up so it is time to get another shot.  Hopefully it will still work and I wont need surgery.  My neighbor has to have a joint replacement on her thumb from arthritis.

Class was good yesterday.  Got home about 7pm last night and had left at 10:30 in the morning so the day was pretty much gone.  This whole weekend is very short for me.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Hi Nancy. I hope you got some relief from your arthritis. I hate needles though! It is very unusual to have a doctor's appointment on a Sunday. It's a good thing for you though.

I can't believe that the weekend is almost over!

Have a good evening.

Hugs,
Lucy

Good Afternoon,

FIRST THE GOOD NEWS!!  I weighed in today and i was under 300 pounds!!  Good bye three hundred forever!!!!  I am at 44pounds down now!  Hurray for me!!

Well it has been a busy weekend here.  Yesterday I went to ABMC for a surgical class on stress management.  Boy I could use one of those classes once a week.  Then on my wy home, my dad called and offered take the kids for the afternoon to the zoo.  HURRAY!  Of course, I drove them right over.  That left the afternoon for Jeff and I .  We cleaned the garage and then decided to go to the movies.  We went to the Rosemont Muvico.  I love this theater.  It is so nice that they have a 21yr old and older section.  You sit in love seats. with large armrests and a small table area, and you get free popcorn.  Plus the snacks are things like baked potato skins, chicken quesidillas, shrimp, etc..You are allowed alcohol in this part of the theater too,  We love it.  It was nice to see a movie without the kids.

Today we had family mass, we were picked to participate and carry up the linens for the alter and set the alter before the gifts are brought up.  It went well, even with Brigid, she carried the small cloth like a baby blankie and was so proud of herself.

We then had a picnic from Lutheran General NICU where both or our kids graduated from.  They have a reunion picnic every year, the weather did not cooperate, but for the short time we were there, we had a good time.

We are home now trying to warm up and relax some.  It has been a long weekend and we are all tired!

I hope everyone has a great week coming up!!

Good evening Eileen. Congrats on getting into the two's!!

I wondered about that movie theater, as I always pass it by on the highway. You sure had a busy weekend. I am relaxing now too. I had a full day shopping at Gurnee Mill.

Take care and have a great week!

Hugs,
Lucy

Hi everyone! Kay and I did the clothes pitch thing today too. I won't embarrass us by telling you how many bags of clothes we got rid of--it was too many! Of course we hadn't really done this in ten years because of that "when I lose weight...." thing. All of the old pants had pleats and way narrow legs. Ugly.

Then we checked on replacing our hot tub which isn't working anymore. I'm leaning toward too expense for the current economy. Let's see how things are after Christmas. I'd rather spend money on yarn right now!

Have a good day!

Hi Connie. I was there too in the beginning and didn't want to get rid of my clothes. I had a lot of sizes smaller and larger. It was hard to give away my biggest clothes, because I was afraid that I would grow into them again, and it's so hard to find half way decent large clothes. Not even considering the cost of it all!

Yes, I think a lot of us are thinking twice before buying larger items. We're all struggling just to make it.

Have a good evening and say hi to Kay for me!

Hugs,
Lucy

I made it to the Atrium through Harvest for the message and then through Dr B's and out those doors where Sherry picked me up. I had a panic attack when I first got into Harvest so I had to sit right there until it passed and missed the music.

Da Bears!!!  Hurrah!!!!

Hi Randy. Sorry to hear that you had a panic attack. I hope you are better now.

Take care of yourself first!

I guess I'll have to agree with you about DA Bears!!

Thank you,  I am fine.  I should have taken my inhaler with me.  My size has actually reduced my lung capacity and I guess I was retaining more water today than I thought I was and perhaps walked too fast at first.  Plus I am claustrophobic which hits me at the oddest times.  It does not always have to do with physical space.
