Good morning Illinois friends. Today I'm going to Gurnee Mills with my aunt who is visiting from Austria. She loves to shop there and so do I. I've done my exercise for the day already and know that walking in Gurnee will count too! YAY!!

Next Sunday I'll be going to Milwaukee for a 2 1/2 day conference, and staying at the Hyatt. At least this time I don't have to fly and get a taxi! LOL!!!

Busy week at work, so it will go by quickly.

On Halloween, I'm going to OH's 10th Anniversary Event in Los Angeles. I'm so looking forward to it. Plan on going to the pool at the hotel. Friday night will be a Halloween party so I get to dress up.

So, that's my itinerary, what's up with everyone?

Have a wonderful Sunday even though we have some rain in the afternoon.

Hugs,
Lucy

Hello everyone

I'm not doing much today.  I'm cleaning out my closet and getting out all of my winter clothes.  I have a lot of stuff my best friend gave me.  She had Lap bad last year.  I can't keep everything so I have to go through and decide what I want and what has to go.  Just think next year at this time I might be able to get rid of my fat clothes.

Other than that I am going to take it easy again today.

Have a nice Sunday.

Good morning. I have such fond memories of my old clothes. It was hard at first to pack away and donate my clothes. But, it got easier and then it was a lot of fun. You'll enjoy this part of your journey.

Good day to take it easy!

Hi Crystal, it is a blast to be able to get rid of the clothes that don't fit you. Lucy is right, at first it is hard to part with things. For me it was hard to really know that I will NOT be wearing that size next year. Had I kept my winter clothes, I would only be getting rid of them now. I still have a hard time looking at tops and thinking they will not fit me.....but they do!   Have fun going thru the clothes!

Good morning my friend Lucy,

It is soo good seeing you post once again. I must say your mood has been lighter and happier since your cruise with Pam. I'm soo glad you enjoyed it. You have a busy month ahead.

I went to a few resale shops yesterday and found a few new things. I needed to get something as I have no fall/winter clothes to wear and I don't have excess cash to buy them. I need to find a job!

Today is my Lia Sophia demonstration.....my daughter and the children will be here after they go to the pumpkin patch at the garden center across the street.  She found out Thursday that the baby is in a transverse position and must turn or she will have to have a c-section.
She is not thrilled about that. Only a few weeks to go before my next grandson is born. I'm hoping he his here before Halloween. I bought him this cute little pumpkin cap and my daughter bought him a sleeper with a pumpkin face on it.

Oh well, got to get moving...things to do before the demo.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning Carol. Nice to see you here. You have a busy day ahead of you, but it sounds like a lot of fun! I wish that I would have tried shopping at resale shops, as I spent a lot of money on clothes. I got caught up in the I love to shop and buy addiction.

Have fun at your Lia Sophia demo.

I stopped taking Cymbalta too. I'm not in the depression mode like I was in December. That was my all time low. I started to think about taking one issue at a time, as I can't resolve everything at the same time. My weight is number ONE! I know that if I use my tools the right way, I can get back down to goal. I was playing games with myself. My head and eyes telling me to go ahead and eat whatever, but my pouch telling me NO. Even having the  lap band in May, I was still trying to find a way to eat anything. Figure that, and how stupid that is!

Now that I had my 4th fill in my band, I have the restriction to get me back to goal. It may take a year, but I'll get there, one day at a time. A year is not that much time, and just think how much fun I will have again, getting back into my small clothes. I miss them so much. It won't take as long to fit into them, as the smaller and less one has to lose, the quicker the clothes fit again. The same is the reverse, it only takes a few pounds to go back up into a bigger size. YIKES! That is why it is so important to get off the 2 or 5 pounds right away and don't let the pounds keep creeping up on you.

I think I've learned a valuable lesson. That in itself is a success.

OK, enough preaching here!!

Have a great and fun Sunday.

Love,
Lucy

Hey Lucy, the other night I realized that it has been almost 6 months from surgery but a year since I started this wonderful journey. Some days I want to kick myself because I'm at a stall, but then reality steps in and says, "hey...you have lost 65 pounds in this past year...so your on the right track...keep it up, it's coming off and your not gaining" Even tho I've been fighting the same few pounds again and again and again...it has all been worth it. I didn't do this just to be thin, I did this to get healthy.

Time to get off the soapbox....have fun today!

Good Morning Lucy andthe Illinois board.

I was suppose to meet my daughter today, but plans got changed, so I an doing laundry and a few other things.

I started getting rid of clothes last spring. I have no 4 x left and only a few 3 x . Now, I am in between a 2x and a 1x. I also love to shop, but this time I  am buying only what i need, it is so easy to find things in the closet now.Today I am altering a couple of favorite sweat shirts I really don't want to get rid of yet.

Lucy, have fun at Gurnee. I can't remember the last time I was there.

I have DH starting another remodling job again. I was at one of our apartments yesterday, and decided that the kitchen needs a total redo, and it needs a living room redo. Not sure when he will start, but I think we will go up there after he gets home from work and make some decisions.

Have a great Day

Hugs

Hi Lisa....living in a condo now, I miss all the project redos. I even miss cutting the lawn once in awhile. I loved doing that when the kids were younger and always irritating each other and causing fights. I'd go mow the lawn so I didn't have to hear them. Somedays I wish we were still back in those days.....Okay, I'm getting old letting all the old memories make me sad.....

Carol, I love redo projects too. Most of the time, but this one is a rental, and Hubert thinks its nice enough to rent again without updating. Its terrible. I was so upset about it yesterday, that when I got throuh showing it. I decided to go and get a haircut and eyebrows done before I came home and complained.

One of the reasons we are still in our home and not a condo is that we like our pool and garden. Otherwise, I am sure we would be apartment dwellers.
