Good Morning Paul and Illinois!

Ok gang, I want to know just who put a jinx on all of our cars!  This seems strange that so many of us have had car problems in the last 2 weeks.  Is there a gremlin running around Illinois?  I am sorry to hear about all the car woes.

Janet, I am glad the O2 is getting better.  As someone who spent 2 years on oxygen 24/7 I know how frustrating it can be.

Crystal, congrats on getting the psych exam out of the way and on getting a head start on learning about post op life style.

Paul, I am with you, the Standard Oil building will always have that name.  I cant even tell you who bought that building.

I am sitting is wls stall he%%  Those darn scales are not moving.  Anyone want to join me for a scale smashing party?

Well, I am with whoever said I cant wait until Friday.   I have a short memory.  I remember what I read but not always who said it.  Oh well, it is the thought that counts.

Have a great day!

Good morning Paul and Illinois!

Paul you are such an interesting person!  You must continue to share your experiences with us. Hope the reike works for you.

Not much going on here today....maybe laundry and a few errands. Since yesterday was support group it cut into my workout time so I must go for a walk today and the gym again tonight. These cool mornings are wonderful. I don't want to get out of bed.....but I do.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning Paul and all of Illinois!

Paul, let me know how the reike works out.  It sounds very interesting.  Try not to worry about the scale, you look wonderful and I know you are feeling so much better.  Take it from the plateau queen!

I am working today, hoping to get my car back but it has gotten to the point that I am wondering if it is ever going to happen.  Once something this major happens to my car, will it ever be the same?  Will I be able to trust it to work correctly?  I just don't know.

I can't believe how many of us are having problems with our vehicles!  I think Nancy is right and there is a gremlin running around the IL board.

Liv has volleyball tonight, and David has practice.  After practice, the Scouts are going to Lena to help with the Haunted Barn.  The Haunted barn has been voted in the top 5 haunted houses in Illinois for many years.  They recruit help from local groups and pay them so they can raise money for their group.  We are allowing the Scouts to keep 75% of the money they earn to put into their own accounts for camps and equipment.  The other 25% will go to the troop account for the same expenses.

Tomorrow is the homecoming parade, Friday is the game and Saturday is the dance.  David is taking a nice girl and is getting all excited by the whole thing.  That means I get to order a corsage and make sure he has decent clothes to wear.

I hope everyone's car troubles get resolved soon and cheaply, and everyone has a great day!

Tell someone that you love them!

Getting back to normal today I think.  Normal is sort of not that great though.  I was so excited with all of the activity on the job front.  Just the doctors and prescription copays are so hard on our budget.  Cutting everywhere we can and yet always there is something I spend money on and feel guilty.  Two shirts so that I could interview basically meant that the trip to Rush would have been totally nerve jangling not knowing where to go and having to valet park since I cannot walk very far.  Now the bit of extra hope I had gotten for going to work was smashed and it is back to trying to get my head back in the game for weight loss as well as job search.  People really want me to work for them when they test me but then they see me and cannot get through with me fast enough.  The interview Monday was in the basement and at the very end of a long hall.  The application they had sent me was very extensive yet they still had more forms to fill out and even took a voided check for the automatic deposit.  By the time I was down the hall and sat down to fill out the extra papers I was overheated and my claustrophobia kicked in.  I thought I was going to have a heart attack right there or have to get up and trudge for the outside.  I got my breathing under control though and got the papers filled out.  Then the guy interviewing me said the job had been moved back and might not be at all.  Code speak for we do not like fat people here I think.  So time to try, try again.

I am sorry to hear everyone is having car problems and hope mine are at bay for a while.

Oh, a question.  Does everyone not know what Katie bar the door means?  My nut was trying to get me to eat more fruit.  I expalined that when I have fruit in the house it kicks in my sugarholic stuff and then it is Katie bar the door.  She did not understand the phrase Katie bar the door.

OH Randy

I know exactly what you mean.  Six years ago I was out of work for almost a year.  I felt like most people couldn't get past the fact I was fat and probably labeled me as lazy.  Which of course is furthest from the truth, I work 55-60 hours a week.  People stereo-type you anyway.  I was very lucky to meet my boss that judged me by my work experience and personality.  She has told me that I have been her best hire in more than a decade.  I wonder if I can get that in writing???

Hang in there don't worry you will come across someone like my boss.

Just a short post tonite as I am depressed over my Cubbies!

I am still at a stall also, so I am going to the nutritionist tomorrow to see if she can help me get on track.  I am looking forward to it also because they measured me the first time I went there, and now I want them to measure me again to check inches lost.  Im sure I will feel better then.

I tried tofu noodles tonite mixed with the soy crumbles and some home made tomato sauce.  It was pretty good.  The noodles texture took a little getting used to, but now is ok.  THe good part is the protein is way up there and very little carbs in the sauce cause I made it myself.

I hope everyone has better luck with their cars, my low air in tire light went on today, so I have to take the car in for a tire check myself.  My light come on often, so it may be nothing, I hope!

I hope everyone has a good day tomorrow.
