Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!
Hi there!
Actually, yes, I did cook some things to be ready for after I got home. My doctor sends us home on the pureed stage, so when I cooked for the family before I went into the hospital, I pureed a small bit of whatever we were eating and froze it in ice cube trays. I had green beans, mixed veggies, brocolli, bratwurst (not that great later), chicken, and pork chops, all purreed and perfectly sized. I just popped them out of the ice cube trays and microwaved what I needed. My family thought it was funny.
As far as being on your feet, you will want to get up and move as much as possible. Walk, Walk, Walk, sip, sip, sip, rest, rest, rest, rest is the mantra.........the walking and moving help you to heal faster, dissipate the gas and prevents blood clots.
Good luck and happy "nesting"!

No cooking for myself or my husband as we were both on total liquids for 2 weeks afterwards. Broths, skim milk, Slim Fast, apple juice and water. Canned broths were so much easier and the low sodium/fat tasted great.
Christine
ps - actually you will need to be on your feet and moving PO because of the threat of blood clots. I was up and moving at home right away just like I was required to be in the hospital.
