My car has a broken timing chain. By the time they are done working on it, it will cost me about $ 1,100.00, which is WAY more than I'd like to spend. Oh well, I've got to get to work.
I am supposed to get it back tonight, and I sure hope I do. The sodium carbonate is in the trunk, so if it is not finished, I will still have to get over there to pick up that chemical for tomorrow.
I am looking forward to seeing everyone and it should be a beautiful day.
Gotta get back to work for now.....

Sorry about the bad news on the car.. My pathfinder failed the emissions test last month even though it appeared to be fine and I did not know it was sick. It cost us $1000. to fix whatever it was. Hang in there girly. I hope everyone has a great time tomorrow. Unfortunately, I have to work. They are working me hard but right now I need the money so I will not complain too much.

$1,100 in a car repair bill is better than paying $15,000+ and 3-6 years in car payments. This is how we have always looked at the repair bill issues. I know having a nice new car would be great but I like being debt free far better, and that includes our house also. It has been paid off for close to 10 years and it is so nice not to have to make out that mortgage payment in addition to insurance.

I hear ya on the car payments.. I'm paying my last payment in Oct on the Infinit next month and paid the pathfinder off last November. That's an extra $1,054.00 a month between the two payments. Yippee Skippee.
Congrats on having your house paid off too! That has to be such a wonderful feeling.

I actually just bought a new car last year. Yes it was nice not having to make car payments but the repair costs just were getting outrgeous (transmission, alternator, timing belt). Not mention I hated driving my car because every little noise I heard would worry me. Also my car needed new tires and the heat wasn't working and it was almost winter so I said forget it and bought a new car. I love my new car. I drive with no worries about repairs. I do have car payments again but its worth it, for my piece of mind.

Just a quick hello today as I am getting ready to send the boys, Jeff and Noah, off on a weekend scout campout. Hurray for them, even bigger Hurray for me! A nice quiet girls weekend.
I am looking forward to Dawn's tomorrow and tye dying all our goodies. It will be a great day to take a drive into the country!
