Good morning Christine and the rest of Illinois!

I am at work, as usual.  Not much exciting going on here.

I went home last night and spent some time with my family and it was kind of nice.  We went down for tacos (I don't eat the shell.....) and caught up with each other.  It seems like we are so busy that some weeks, we hardly see each other.

Tonight, I may stay in and visit with my Aunt.  I usually go on Tuesdays, but oh well.

Not much else is going on.  I am ready for Saturday and looking forward to it.

Tell someone that you love them!

Good morning Christine and Illinois!

Jessica...congrats on getting the puppy. I wish I had one.....
Dawn, hope you tie dye party is fun! It sounds like it would be.
Lucy, eventually you will get back on track.

I've got a quiet day today...just the gym tonight. My daughter's husband is not going out of state for his job afterall, so they will not be coming to stay with me for two weeks. She only has about six weeks til the baby comes. Boy it is coming quickly.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning Illinois!

Jessica, the puppy sounds adoreable!  I love puppies.  My neighbors have a mix of a husky and a lab.  She is a doll.

Well my car saga continues.  I called during my break last night at 4pm and they said that my car would be done.  I drove over to fetch it and when I got there found out it was not done.  As they were putting the lock mechanism together, another part broke.  So I drove 40 miles for nothing.  GRRRR.

Oh well, today is another day.  The sun is shining.  The cats are fed and not bugging me so all is good so far.  It is only 8:30 so we have a ways to go in the day yet.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Chris - what is LWB?

Monica - must be something in the water.

Things do build up on us. Waiting for Walgreens has been a major nerve jiggler.  I was out of B12 as well since last Friday.  My own fault.  DW had a few things to get at Meijers and I did not want to go in with her.  I had done several errands criss crossing the NW burbs as well as my interview. I was ready to be home.  Not a mad or tied sort of thing just a this is enough for today sort of thing.  DW was hinting at eating out as well.  She really just does not get it yet that if you let anyone else touch your food you do not know what you had.  I gave in and we ended up at Max and Irma's.  Way too many choices and few that seemed good for us.  We ended up splitting an eight ounce steak, salad, tomato and basil soup, a thick bread stick/roll and a potato.  That still left us with extra calories to eat once we got home.  The soup really did not get shared.  I tried to leave when we ordered the soup and the waitress told DW she could not get mozerrella cheese in it.  I was half way up when the waitress decided she could find a slice to put in it and DW wrestled me back to my chair.  DW, I take it was hungrier than I was.

The picture of the old man with soup, bread and a prayer fell off the wall and hit my scales.  They sit between the dining room table(card table with a cloth) and the small chest freezer.  The move put me back up to 488 and today I am at 486 which is where I was last Monday.  That just does not make sense.  I am burning close to 6000 calories a day just sitting still and taking in an average under 2500 a day for the last month.  My body has somehow found a way to hold onto ten pounds that should be gone.

So you have been forgiven?

Good morning all,

Today I need to organize a corner in my home office, I decided to spend 1 hour a day purging and sorting, I should be done in 3 days hopefully. Extra rooms make a great dumping ground for what the family does not want in their own room!

This time of year I can start to feel a little down, so this will be a positive thing to do, maybe as it looks better my spirits will stay up.

-Jessy - really cute name "Bowie" so we should hope to see pictures of that cute puppy soon. Congrats.

-Lucy- surely with iron and meals at hand you will have your energy back

-Nancy- darn the repair shop could not call you and tell you another issue came up? grrrr I would be mad, but really what can you do? Good luck getting the car fixed today.

The sun is out and it will be warm- have a lovely day everyone !

Morning All!

What a difference a day makes!  I'm now 5 days out post op and today (so far anyway) I'm feeling pretty darn good.  Yesterday though I thought I was coming down with a cold or something.  I wanted to get out for a walk but decided I just wasn't feeling up to it yet...I rested most of the day.  I like all this relaxing but sometimes I get bored.  I am getting tired of the liquid diet too....can't wait to eat some mashed potatos or refried beans or something more substantial.  I think I've been mourning chewing!

Well just checking in...Have a wonderful day everyone!

Good Morning, as usual , everyone seems busy, including me. Jessie, the pup sounds great. I agree with Carol, I want one too, but with both of us working all day, and liking to go when we are home, a pup really wouldn't be the best choice for us at this time.

Monica, please start on your meds. Don't let depression take over your life at this time. Then, you can tell your Dr. when you see him in Oct.

We have an art show in Streator this coming weekend. Its a nice place to spend an hour or so, Its a juried show, and its in the park, about 2 blocks from me. I plan on making an appearance.

Have a good day,

Hugs
