Good morning all of IL Land Peps.

Not much on my agenda today. I have a small straightening up project in the basement this evening. I have some laundry to fold and put away + a little ironing. I got the other half of the basement done last night including the vacuuming. This evening I will also go to LWB seminar and speak after Dr R does the presentation.

What is going on in your world .

Good Morning!!

We got a puppy yesterday! He is 9 weeks old, and SOOOOO cute! So, my day is going to consist of a LOT of potty breaks! lol

Other than that, it is school picture day, and I was never able to run to the store to get a new shirt for my oldest son, which stinks. I was planning on going last night, but my hubby got home too late, and the kids were sleeping, so I couldn't go with all of them. I know my son won't care, but it's just one of those things that bothers me....
My Moms group is going bowling tonight, so I am hoping to go with them, but I guess it all depends on how tired I am at that point. This getting up at 5am is not my thing! (One of the little boys I watch is coming at 5:30 this week. Although it is 6:03 right now, and he still isn't here?)
Hope everyone has a great day!

Hi Jessica. Congrats on the new puppy!! What breed did you get???

I just love the small breeds, like Yorkies.

Good luck with the training.

Good morning Chris and Jessica - of course, all my Illinois friends.

Not much on this gal's schedule, just work and home projects. I still have some things to put away from my cruise. I finally started exercising this morning, as I wasn't feeling well with the leftovers from my cold. I think it's all gone now. I started taking my iron pill again because I was so tired all the time. Today's the first day I actually brought my small breakfast and lunch to work.

I think I am off to a good start. I got to start somewhere. I can tackle one thing at a time and eventually I will be up to speed again.

I just don't want to get any heavier. It's time to be on the loser's bench again.

Wishing all of you a very healthy and great Wednesday.

Hugs,
Lucy

Hello all

I'm at work, of course, I'm always at work.  At least its Wednesday.  I'm leaving work early today because of a doctor appointment @ 3:30.

Last night I went and bought "Sex & The City" the movie.  I love, love, love Sex & The City.  Then I came home and stayed up too late watching it.  I'm sooo tired.

I decided I would try different foods.  I'm a very picky eater and I hate veggies.  So I decided to eat green beans.  YUCK!!!   I tried to eat them, they are so gross.  I'm chewing these green beans and thinking I want to spit them out.  Well that didn't work at all.  I will try another vegetable.  Maybe I will try peas or lima beans next.  Also, I want to try eating a salad. I'm really trying to change my eating habits.  If you guys have any suggestions.

Jessica- what kind of dog did you get?  I would love to get a dog.

The puppy is a Lab mix. (not sure what he is mixed with though! lol) He looks a LOT like the puppy on the Cottenelle toilet paper commercials.
It was a situation that just fell into our lap, we were definitly not looking to get a dog, especially not a puppy, at this time. I have a friend who works at an animal shelter, and they are filled to the max right now, so when the puppy was brought to them, she took him home so she could try to find him a place to live. He is neutered, micro chipped, up to date on vaccines, and she is going to finish off his puppy vaccines for me. He came with food, a  bowl, collar and leash, a cage, lots of toys. If we wanted a dog eventually, this was not the situation to pass up. Can't get better than FREE!!
My 2 year old did not want to go to bed last night because of the puppy, and when my husband went to kiss him goodnight, he rolled over in his sleep and muttered "no puppy" lol

So, if anyone is close to Huntley, and looking for a dog, the Huntley Animal Shelter has PLENTY to choose from!

Aww he sounds adorable, just promise me you will train him because an untrained Lab or mix can be a nightmare with kids.  just my opinion.  We still need some pics when you get the chance too.  How did you get him free from a shelter?  Usually there is a fee for adopting dogs/puppies.  Yay for you guys...and another important question...what's his name??

Oh, we will train him. I looked into obedience classes before he was even here. lol
Having young children, and with my oldest having Autism, I don't need any more chaos here!
His name is Bowie, and the boys don't seem to want to rename him. We did get him for free, and he wasn't exactly from the shelter, just from a friend who works at the shelter. They were unable to take him, so she was pretty much fostering him.

Good Morning IL family

Not much going on around here either.  I have to take Jacob into school early so he can make up a test he missed on Friday and then pick up Tyler after football tonight, that's it.  I will do some cleaning and a lot of studying.
I have to admit that I am starting to feel my depression coming on again.  Not sure if I should just start taking my Lexapro again or if I should wait and talk to Dr R on Oct 7th about it first.  It's a lot of things going on right now that are getting me down.

I hope everyone enjoys the sun today and missed the rain that might head our way!

Monica
