Good Morning Everyone!!!! 

This is good day for me.  I'm feeling great.  You know I have been scared to check the scale.  I'm really trying to eat healthy.  Change my eating habits.  Well this morning I figured it was now or never.  Well you will never guess...I lost 6 pounds!!!!  I couldn't believe it.  I step on that scale ten times just to make sure it wasn't making a mistake.  I have only been eating healthy almost three weeks now.  I'm soooooo happy right now.     Only 19 pounds and 5 months to go till my surgery.


Randy-  I hope all went well with your interview.

Monica- How is your job hunt going.

I in this morning until 630, unusual for me.

The turn out at my village's first Oktoberfest was fantastic last night. You could barely walk through the tent last night. I have never seen a tent that large before. I was told it was 220 feet long.

I have a friend coming over with her new baby sometime today before she goes to the fest above tonight. But before that Dave and I have a few things in the house to do like take a window AC out, wash the windows in that room, wash sheets, hang a few pictures, vacuum the 3 season room, Dave had his bike repaired and he has to go pick it up in EGV, then go down to the Oktoberfest and socialize. , no just socialize , I do not drink beer.
I am tired thinking of it all. I think I might go back to and .

Good Morning Nancy and Everyone on this great Saturday Morning.

The water in the Illinois River is going down, that will mean a few more bridges will be open or opening soon.
the sun is out and shining brightly this last weekend of summer. Make time to get out and enjoy it. We will be in the cold before we know it.
The first thing I did this morning was to forget to put the coffee basket in the coffee maker. I put the filter and coffee in, just forgot the basket! Of course DH had to let me know I goofed. He put the basket in the bathroom, so it was the first thing I saw. Oh well, it could of been worst, at least I remembered the coffee.

Today I plan on giving my kitchen a good cleaning, pick up the rest of the house, make a relish tray to take to my daughters BBQ, and get outside and start the fall chores.

Good Morning all,

Looks like it will be a beautiful day here, hope to get to spend some time outdoors this weekend.  We will be back at our daughters though still helping her clean up after the floods. We have made alot of progress but still need to get the grils room floor washed with bleach, then can start the re-do.

I had a "wow" moment the other night.... I took my granddaughter to the mall to Lenscrafters as her glasses broke in school that day. Lenscrafters had moved from the lower level on the east side of the mall to the upper level on the west side of the mall. Normally, I would have had to get back to the car and drive around to the other side and upper lever.  But  we decided to walk through the mall and up the stairs, not the escalator or elevator!!! .  I made it!!   It took me a little while to get up the stairs, but one year ago I couldn't make it up 10 stairs let alone the stairs from level to another at the mall. And I even managed to walk back down the stairs when we were done.

Paulette, I am glad your daughters house is going to be ok, especially since she has you and Earl behind  her. As far as her filing for divorce, good for her. When our daughter filed, she had a new baby, and the thought of raising her alone was scary, but within a year she had bought a new car, and a new to her house, and was doing great. Now, she is remarried to her ex's best college buddy.and she is doing great. She couldn't of found a better dad for Morgan.

Isn't it nice when you realize you can do something as simple as walk a mall?  My mind still plays tricks on me, making me pause and think, hey, I can do this!

Hi Lisa, thanks for the kind words and hugs.  My daughter is doing well in spite of the challenges with her soon to be ex and the flooding problem. The tension level in the house is gone with him out.  She is taking positive steps each and every day.  She is a strong woman and will be fine when it all sorts out, she definately is happier already.

I almost reached my 10,000 steps today. Right now I am at 9,375, and the day isn;t over yet!  I started out at 2700 steps a day in the spring.  Of course right now my legs are like jelly LOL!

With as many prayers as were being sent up the interview had to go well.  I know I would be the best choice for them but there is a lot of competition for these positions.  I need to get ready and off to Computer Connections at Bright Hope.  The hours over the first year would be such that DW could change her hours and we could carpool with a bit of patience each day.  Thank you for your continued prayers as they take 7-10 days in deciding that I get the second interview and then the position.

Sorry it has been so long since I posted but I have been working a lot and just been busy. I have been struggling a bit with my food so I really need to get on track....
We are thinking of going to a pig roast today so we can enjoy this weather while we have it...not much else planned...except cleaning...
