Wednesday Roll Call

Good morning all. What is on your plate for today? We have a new bed delivered today. I have the furniture in the upstairs hall moved so it can be manipulated up the stairs as it is a king size. Dave met with another new boss yesterday. This is from the company he first interviewed with in January. Next week he goes in for training.

I have to start doing the criminal court schedules for all my officers today. That usually takes me a couple weeks to do. It is time consuming and a lot of triple checking that it is accurate. Also have a meeting in Naperville at 1. Need to get moving with my day as I want to do a load of wash - bathroom curtains.

Good morning friends!

I have an early meeting today with a job candidate and then an OK schedule the rest of the day. I should have time to knit with my friends at lunch. I am working on a pattern that is badly written and had to unravel a chunk last night.

We don't have many plans right now until mid October, so life just goes on easily. Trying not to pay attention to the news, as much as possible.

Have a good day!

Good morning all,
I feel like I am beginning to get somewhat ahead.  We are still drying out our basement and family room.  We did get about 2 feet of rain/sewer water.  Yesterday was the first day that I got out to get more cleaning supplies.  Everyone is out of mops!!
I met my daughter for lunch in Buffalo Grove and stopped in at the Target and they only had 1 left, and I snatched that up!!  It feels good to have my computer back.  The "geeks" told me that I was lucky that I had a good power surge thing on my laptop because it ruined the battery pack but saved my computer.  He then showed me the row of computers that come in from the weekend, 9 of them...  I have my appointment with my gastro doc at Northwestern to get the results from my cat scan and ercp.  I hope that everyone has a great day!

Good Morning All -
This will be quick as I'm moving way too slow this morning.  I should already be out of the shower and one foot out the door.  Well, I have not even hit the shower.
Not much to report.  It looks like Calvin is feeling the restriction from his fill this past week.  I feel so bad for him.  He just eats so much slower then me and everything seems to get stuck.  He has really struggled with "getting it".  I think it's finally sinking in.

Happy hump day.

Christina tell Calvin slow is the key! I have not had a fill since March and mornings are still so hard to eat or drink. I have even thought about an unfill slightly but as slow as I am losing I am afraid I will go the other way. I go back to see Dr R in Oct I was going to see about the .4 unfill but I can eat all the test foods if and this is a big if I wait until after 6pm. Go figure my band alows me to eat on the same schedule I did before when it comes to the night time binging! So I save my fruits and milks for that time. I am glad though he is feeling restriction and that he has someone with him that understands his pain when he eats too fast or takes  that one extra bite!!  OUCH!!!
Have a great day!

Hello Everyone

The week is half done!!!  I have nothing exciting going on today except for work.

My daughter called yesterday, to tell me she's sick and wanted to know if she should go to the doctor.  I told her to go to the doctor.  She might be 20 but she's still my baby.

I talked to my sister last night.  we have a strained relationship.  She just makes me soooo mad.  She wants me to go down and visit my mom and dad.  Well I don't have vacation time.  I used all my vacation time being sick last month.  She wants me to just take time unpaid!!!   She's very negative about everything.  I feel like I have to defend my life to her.

Have a nice day everyone

Good Morning to all. It's hump day, another week 1/2 over. It sounds like everyone has  their plans in order for today. I too will be heading for work shortly. Al least there isn't any fog this morning. I haven't heard anything, so I am assuming, the I39 bridge is open over the Illinois River. We will see.

We were busy yesterday, and I figure I will be busy today. I think we are going to dinner tonight. Not sure yet.

Have a great day, and don't forget your sunglasses.

Hugs

Good Morning Christine and Illinois!

Well, it looks like it is going to be a beautiful sunny day!.  Hopefully the river will start going down.  They say the roads will be impassible for days so travel around here is interesting.  Glad I dont have to cross the river.

Monica, hope your second interview went well yesterday.  It sounds like they really like you.  Especially since you are going to do a day of clinic next week.  What sorts of exotic animals does this clinic treat?

Elaine, how is the basement?  Hope it is bailed out by now.  Cant remember if anyone else had water in their home or not but if you did, hope the mess wasnt too bad.

Not much new happening here today.  Same old, same old.   Have a good day.

thanks Nancy, the interview yesterday went okay, but I wasn't thrilled with the clinic.  They do something there that I don't ethically or morally agree with and I just don't know if I can work for a vet like that.  Does that make sense?
The first one, that I will be doing the clinic day at next week, that's the one that I really want.  Keep your fingers crossed for me.

They treat pretty much any kind of pet, except spiders (I don't even know why anyone would want one of those as a pet!  lol)  So i would be working with dogs and cats mainly, but they also see animals like "pocket pets" (hamsters, rats, guenia pigs things like that), all reptiles and birds....it sounds so interesting!  I really really want that job, even though the pay is almost degrading, she did say once I get my degree the pay would go up quite significantly...more reason to study study study more...lol

Thanks for thinking of me Nancy!!

Well that's too bad about the job.  That was the vet close to me right??  Well I hope you get the other job.  It's hard job hunting in this economy.  That is the only reason I stay at my job.  I know I won't lose this job.  Although, I would love to quit and cash out all my stock and go to Hawaii for a couple of weeks!!!
