Missing One Year Weight History

Just wondering if anyone else was missing a year of weight history for the insurance company and still got approved for the surgery.  I am missing a documented weight from 2005, I guess I never went to the doctor, and now concerned on what to do.  My insurance, BCBS of IL requires a 5 year weight history.  My doctor thought I could try sending in previous years and see if that works, or I went to the doctor in Jan of 2006, my PCP thought that might be close enough to 2005 to count.  Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what they did about it.
Thanks!

Now I haven't been through the approval process but the bariatric manager at my surgeon's office said I can skip a year for example if I have 2004, 2005, 2007, and 2008.  She said that the missinf 2006 is ok as long as I have 2007.  I trust her because she helps 300 people a year get approved.

Good Luck

I THINK is will be OK.
What they are looking for is that you have been mordibly obese for at least 5 years.  They are screening for those who may have just become morbid over the last year or so.  The insurance company needs to see that this has been a long term problem that is not likely to clear up without surgical intervention.

Good luck, but try not to worry.

Tell someone that you love them!
