Connie,

I thought I heard you say that you might do Christmas gifts for hire???  Please PM me and let me know what would be involved in having a nice sweater made for my wife and possibly one for my baby daughter?  Thanks!  Paul

Good Morning Illinois and those close by,

Not in much of a talking(typing) mood this morning.  I am at my  but would like to be or  or evenafter which I would certainly be.  The little emoticons are makeng me er though.  I have had my morning meds and a couple of cups of water so maybe the B12 is kicking in.  I had a cup of ho****er as well.

The water seems to be going down around here.  DW had to detour from Central to Euclid to get to work yesterday and today.  Is this normal for this area?  I think the Des Plaines has gotten out of banks three times since we came here June a year ago.

Randy

So you have been forgiven?

Good Morning IL!!

Well the good news is the water is out of my basement & we have the humidifier running to dry up all the dampness. No damage (Thank God) except a bag of old clothes from my kids I was gonna put in a yard sale. They could have been saved if I wanted to wash them but no thanks, I have enough laundry to do without the extra stuff that we don't need.

I am on the countdown until I start liquids. Yeah...LOL The closer it gets the more real it feels. I am so excited. My hubby took the week off to help me out. He can just play games at the hospital on my laptop while I'm high on morphine.

Now, I have yet to tell my 12yr old dr. I think I need to sit her down and tell her because she will be the one to notice and wonder why I am in the hospital. My little 7yr old will be ok with it. I can just tell him I had surgery and that I am all better and he will never notice that I am not eating. But, I'm just not sure how to tell her. I have to arrange for them to go someplace the night before so someone can get them to school. Who? I am trying to figure that one out. Since I haven't told any family here in town that may be hard. I have a couple friends I am hoping to rely on for that. I have to be at the hospital at 5:30am and it's 1.5 hrs from here so we are thinking about going the night before. But then again, it won't be like I will be sleeping anyway. LOL

Very excited. Start 2 week preop clear liquids next week. Went to Texas Roadhouse over the weekend to have my final steak. It was so yum!

Ok that's all for now. Have a great day!

Good morning Paul and Illinois!

Congratulations on the pound lost.  That is always a good feeling.
OK.....................I HAVE to ask...........................WHAT is Kiefer?

I agree with Connie, support group last night WAS interesting, fun and informative.  Pam looks maaavelous, but then again, so do we all!

Liv has a volleyball game tonight and the boys are going up to Lena to help set up the haunted barn as a Boy Scout fundraiser.  I'm sure that they will love doing that.  I guess the troop will be working it this year after it opens.  It is nice that they open the opportunity to groups such as the Scouts because it is a big money-maker and it is awesome that they are willing to "share the wealth".

I am hoping to get all the dyes for the party ordered today.  So many colors to choose from.........I can get lost in their catalof and web site.

It is sunny and bright out at the moment and I am looking forward to better weather.

Everyone have a magnificent day!

Tell someone that you love them!

Kiefer is a grain based bacterium medium that you culture in milk.  It's kind of like a liquid yogurt, but the bacterium come from a grain.  It is just filled with natural probiotics.

Hello, everyone!

It has been probably 6 months since I've posted here.  Yes, I'm the epitome of slacking!  I had my surgery on the 14th of July.  Apart from a couple of complications (I didn't really get to post all of it cos after a looong post, it logged me out!)..none of which were related to the GBS, rather than an already pre-existing condition..my couple of months were rather well, as far as being on track.

I'm having a bit of a hard time getting all my protein shakes in still..but I'm trying.  And my DH bought me a treadmill last Friday (yes, he's the bestest!) since I was fretting about how I'd get my walking in everyday with the coming winter.  I have a Stairmaster & a Total Body (the basic setup)..but really like to walk now.

We had some flooding, too..not too much..the sump pumps kicked in when the water level reached them (thank God!).  Not a lot of damage, mostly the mats for my hubby's gym (we've got a his side/her side in the basement), his kickbag is saturated (he took it down to switch with hi*****hing bag)..so hope that can be saved & it won't get moldy & gross inside.

Anyways..that's about it for my last 2 months post op.

Have a good day, everyone!

What a beautiful day in the western burbs!  I am 3 days away from my lap band surgery and I am a bundle of nerves and anticipation!  I just get worried that I missed something somewhere and will mess up my recovery.  I always forcast for the worst and hope for the best!  I shouldn't do that though cause I feel like I'm constantly worried about something.

I do have a session with my therapist today so it will be good to talk thru my concerns prior to surgery.  She has such a calming affect (guess that's their job).

Well, going to get outside and enjoy the day today!  I hope everyone does the same!

Look guys I have my ticker up too.  Now I feel like I'm an official OH'er.  I chose a caterpillar because just like the caterpillar I will blossom into a butterfly.

Good Afternoon Everyone!
I am loving this weather today, it's perfect! The older boys are both off at school, so I am just hanging with the little ones. Once most of my day care kids get picked up, I promised my oldest son we could go up to Target and get the Speed Racer movie. He has been bugging me for it, and it came out today, so I promised him we would go.
Other than that, nothing exciting going on today! Hope everyone has a great day! Enjoy the weather.
