Tuesday Roll Call
I am glad the scale is moving for you Paul.
We also are undermined partly. We sit close to an old RR track, and they aren't suppose to be undermined. but people dug illegal shafts back in the depression.
I was told this morning that RT 23 is open across the Illinois river, IF not, then I will have to drive back to Rt 39 to get to work. Which would take an addional hour

I am now going to brave the roads and head out into the fog and uncertain road conditions. What don't we do for our jobs? I really do love my job, 99% of the time.
Hugs
Paul, congrats on the scale moving down again! That's fantastic. If you got any good protein shake recipes, I'd love to have them, if you are willing to share. I miss my AchievOne drinks, they are out of stock now.
Christina - love the idea of a fireplace in the bedroom. I have one in the living room and will use it occasionally in the winter.
Lisa - hear you about the extra driving. I have to do that as well since the Des Plaines river flooded. I work in Des Plaines, so it has been a puzzle to get to work.
Well, I am starting to get on the mend with this cold I got. I left work early yesterday, went shopping and then rested a lot at home. Had tea with rum. That helped me sleep. I sure need more sleep.
I am back on track this morning. Almost caved in and wanted something sweet. I'm drinking my morning coffee right now.
I didn't know that there were homes built on mine caves in Illinois. Well, you learn something new each day.
I hope Pam is OK. She went to work the evening we got home. I'm sure she is exhausted. Just wait to you get to see her again. She is so thin!
Have a good and safe day everyone! I think Cathy (catzie) is having surgery today. I'll have to check! If so, please keep her in your prayers.
Hugs,
Lucy

Cathy is having surgery at 8:45.. Her time got moved up.
Glad to hear your feeling some better.
The fireplace in the bedroom is nice but it typically gets too warm for Calvin.
I'm so glad you and Pam had such a great time on your curise.. That is one thing I want to do is a cruise.
Christina
Good Morning Paul and the rest of my IL family
Today looks like it will be a nice day outside, though it's chilly right now. Jacob and I are dog sitting for a family that lives across the sub division and we have to let the dog out right after Tyler leaves for the bus at 6:35am...so we just got home around 7:30 from that. We let her out and then play with her for a while, otherwise she'd be locked up all day and night. I will go there again during the day too before Jacob gets home from school and then he will go.
I have another interview today at 3pm but will leave plenty early because I tried to find the place yesterday and all the streets in that area are flooded, so I want to give myself time and not be late. Yesterday's interview went very well and I found out that they not only do dogs and cats, but exotics as well, so that would be cool. I should be doing a hands on day in the clinic for them next week sometime.
Other than that we have Tyler's football game that was rescheduled again! lol
Have a wonderful and sunny day everyone!
Good morning from the dry spot in northern IL! For once we missed the floods.
We had a good support group last night--Pam was there. Her tan is totally unfair! Of course it would take me the rest of my life to get that tan. We talked about nutrition--it sure is hard to know what to believe with all the different stories from the NUTS we have to talk to. Other than that it was good to see everyone.
I think today is a normal day--I forgot to look at my schedule, but as I remember, it looked OK.
I did some felting over the weekend. It is not my strong suit. I'd like to make a felt purse for my daughter for Christmas, but I need some better techniques. The knitting bag I made for myself felted itself into ruffles across the top--not the look I was going for! But the Christmas stocking ornament turned out OK, so I guess I'll make a few more of those. That's the news from Rockford.
Have a good day!

Randy says:
I certainly agree. I have tried again and again to have NUTS and docs explain the starvation mode and why it is one number no matter your weight or how much exercise you do.
