Well, we are home also, safe and sound. We did not have any problems with water while gone. We did have the seepage that I spoke of. We are not worried about it as our house will probably be a tear down in about 10-15 years. We can live with that little bit of water. We still have water in the back yard as we always do. We call it "Lake Bennett"
We did not see my former co-worker as she called at about noon asking if we were still planning on coming. Then she explained that she forgot that she had a post baby doc appt. She is coming my way for OktoberFest in Itasca this Saturday and she, her DH and baby will stop by our house.
The traffic in Rockford on the interstate is "hairy" as there is nasty construction - right Pam???
I hate driving so close to semi trucks that are in the narrow left lane and practically come into your lane. I really was glad not to have to stop and get back on at Riverside Dr as that is only the 1/2 way point of the contruction area.
I am tired but have two loads of wash almost done, our bedroom emptied of things under the bed because we are having a new bed delivered on Wedn., suitcases emptied until Thanksgiving when we go back to the Dells. It was sad to leave up there. AND NO WE WILL NOT BUY A PLACE TO HAVE UP THERE! We have so many people tell us to just buy up there, NOT. Yes, we go up a lot but we do not want to maintain two places and we would also feel that we would ALWAYS have to go there because of it. We really like to go to many places in the midwest, other states and abroad.

Someday I am just going to have to go see the Dells! I hear a lot of good things about it but never been.
Glad you do not have any water damage, its funny you have Lake Bennet we have Lake Robinson its our whole driveway. I have to come into the drive very slow so not to splash mud on the car and to get the undercarriage to wet. Don't want to replace the exhaust too soon like in cars in the past!
Well gotta go but glad you are home safe and sound!

We've been dealing with driving and construction on 294 for sometime now. I hear you about the trucks and semis. I got used to them as I drive a lot on 294.
I haven't done any wash yet. Today, I just opened my suitcase to get a dress for work.
I am getting over my cold that I got towards the end of my cruise.
Now to get back to basics and feel better!
