Monday Roll Call

Good Morning All.  I hope everybody survived the rains and that life is getting back to normal.  My prayers are with those of you who had flooding.  Today they start digging out my driveway for replacement.  On the weekend, I will be doing brick pavers on the sides.  I'm excited in that it is the first time I will be doing something like this.  I spoke to the patient consultanat from my surgeon in Mexico and she said I needed to go on liquids for 24 hours to allow my band to relax and let the irritation go down.  I tried that and it seems to be helping.  I need to run to work, so I'll sign off for now.  Have a great day!  Paul

Good Morning Paul & IL -

My Sunday was spent working on the basement.  I refuse to complain.  Our house is still standing so how can I complain?  It could always be worse.  I have a co-worker that lives in Addison.  She had water coming in her front door and over six inches in her basement.  My power is back on, phone service is still out.
Just another day for me.  I struggled with staying in bed vs going to work.  I'm up and moving so you see who won.  LOL

Have a great day everyone.

Hi Paul and the board!!!!!
I feel for all of you who have been flooded or been rained on. Ill have to have my daughter cruise down to our basement in the house in the city and see if there is any flooding. If it is flooded there is going to be a mess as there is to much stuff in the basement that my sister in law just puts down there. So if it is mess up Ill have to come there for a week or so to clean it ou****ch out Ill throw and pitch and she wont know what hit her.
paul I hope you are feeling better.
Well off to a long day at work. I have a new employee starting. Carla

Hi everyone,

It was a long rainy weekend.  I hate the fact I have to live in an apartments but times like these with all the flooding I like living on the second floor.  I feel safe up there.  Several roads along the Fox river have been flooded and closed.  Again I lucked out because I don't have to go near there to get to work.  Everyone that wasn't so lucky they're in my thoughts.

I didn't excersise as I planned this weekend.  I guess it was just a dreary weekend.  I will start next weekend for sure.  Another week of healthy eating ahead of me.  Hopefully all goes well. I haven't checked my weight.  I'm afraid I will be disappointed.  Maybe I will just wait till my monthly weight check.

Everyone have a good Monday

Good Morning Paul and the rest of my IL family,

I'm glad that the liquids are helping your band Paul and I hope that your driveway comes out beautiful.  I love how pavers look and when I win the lottery I will have a beautiful brick paver patio in my back yard...LOL

Today I have a job interview at 3pm and then Tyler's make up football game at 4:30pm.  Hopefully the weather will hold out and this rain will stop, well I think it did stop, but it's still so soppy everywhere.

Yesterday was a very quiet and relaxing day, well after I went on my house cleaning rampage...lol   I baked the apple crisp again and also made some WL friendly peanut butter cookies, but they turned out very crumbly.  Tyler made chocolate chip cookies too.  our house sure smelled good!  lol

I hope everyone has a wonderful day and all of those with flooding are i my prayers that they get dried out very soon and don't have a ton of damage.

Good Morning Illinois!

I fuwaa ir ia safe to come out of the Ark.  Christina, I am sorry you are dealing with flooding.  Monica, good luck with your interview today.  I am sure you will win them over paws down. Paul, glad you are getting some relief.  Pavers on the drivewave sound nice.  I am still trying to get someone to do something with my driveway.  I called in April when I had my surgery and still have not heard back from anyone.  And they say the economy is bad????  Guess they dont want the small jobs.

Got to scoot and get ready for work.  Have a great day.

Good morning! I saw a flash of sun a few minutes ago and there is blue in the sky! I keep telling myself that the rain provides a deep base for the plants for winter--comes from living with a gardener! But of course, I'd rather have sun.

I have a busy day today followed by the Rockford support group tonight, which I really enjoy. I did a lot of knitting over the weekend, and especially the finishing stuff like putting fringe on scarves and such. If anyone is interested in Christmas presents, let me know.

Have a good day

Good morning all,

Today is the day,  I go in for surgery at 3:30.  I am excited, but a wee bit nervous about things staying together at home.  I have an extensive plan to help with my son.  This is the first time I've been away from him for any length of time.  Sure, he has spent the night at my mom's or my friend JoJo's.  He's only 2, so I'm sure that my time away from him will be much harder on me than on him.

I have everything that I need. oops my son just woke up, gotta go, talk to you Weds when I get home
