We're Finally Back Home!

Good evening my friends. Well, I finally got home about 30 minutes ago. Pam is still on her way home. We got a huge delay at the Miami airport because of the weather patterns around Chicago.

It was hot, hot, hot in the Caribbean. We had to miss our first port, San Juan because of Ike. So we spent 3 days at sea. Went to St. Thomas and St. Maarten.

I met many of Pam's friends. Everyone was friendly, just like one big happy family.

We spent a lot of time at the pool except for the day of sail as well as day 2 - lots of clouds on day 2. The staff on Royal Caribbean cruise line were so friendly.

Of course, there was way too much food!

I got a cold that started on Friday. Today it was a full bloom. I was so sick on the way home - fever, nausea, chills, and I even threw up on the plane. It sure didn't help with a 2 hour delay! The plane was small and filled to capacity.

I am so thankful to be home, safe and sound!

I see that many streets are closed because of the flooding.

Hope everyone is well.

Hugs,
Lucy

Hi Lisa. Love your new picture! Thanks for your message.

I'm so happy to be home since I'm sick. I was so upset on the plane yesterday and cried like a baby.

I had a hard time getting in to work today. So many roads are closed. I didn't think I was going to make it.

Hugs,
Lucy

Hi Lucy!

Happy to hear you were able to enjoy some sun and enjoy the food.

The weather has been crazy everywhere lately, sorry IKE made you miss you miss your fist Port.

Delays at the airport are the worst, I mean really what can you do with the wait time? Glad you are home safe.

You rest now and get rid of that cold, I hope you feel better real soon.

Hugs,
Cathy

Hi Cathy. Thanks for your message. I so much wanted to come and visit you in the hospital, but with this cold, I can't. I don't want you to get sick. Maybe I can come and visit you at home, once I am over this  cold.

I am so excited for you and your marvelous journey that is about to begin!

The only thing at the Miami airport was they had good tasting coffee. That helped me feel better but was short lived once we got on the plane and was stuck sitting on the runaway over an hour.

I will be thinking of you and saying a prayer for your recovery.

Hugs,
Lucy - smileys not working!!!

Welcome home Lucy!  glad you and Pam had a great time.  I'm sorry you had to miss your first port and that you got sick too!  I can't even imagine the delays at the airports with the way the weather was here this past weekend.

I'm glad your home safe and sound.  Now get some rest and feel better soon!

Hi Monica. Thanks for your message. I got home after 9 pm and Pam was on her way home by bus. We were tired after an early start and long, long day at the airport. If I don't see an airport for some time, I won't be sad.

I'm going to try and go home early today. I didn't even start unpacking.

Hugs,
Lucy

Good morning Lucy, glad you are home safe and sound, Sorry to hear you are sick I hope you get to feeling better soon,
Welcome Home .

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

Hi Janet. Thanks for your message.

I'm still sick but at least I got some sleep. I had a hard time getting into work today, with so many road closures. I work in Des Plaines.

Hugs,
Lucy
