Well I had my phone interview today and it went very well.  The lady that I spoke with said that she was going to pass my info to the next lady up higher and she would be calling for an in person interview sometime next week.  I need to wear something business casual...what exactly is that and where can I get something fairly inexpensive?  lol   Everyother job I have had I have been able to wear pretty much whatever I wanted, including jeans....I need some help here ladies and gents...LOL

Monica,
Congratulations on the next step!  Dress business casual, nice pants and top, no jeans, perfume, sweats etc.  They will be looking for someone who will respect the job.  Dressing professionally secures that.  Whenever I interviewed anyone I was took alot of this into consideration.  One big thing for me was if I smelled cigarette smoke, it was definitely not a plus.
Good luck!

thanks!  smoke isn't a problem here, I don't smoke and no one is allowed to smoke in my house or car!  lol

I will have to find something, everything I have here either won't fit the bill or won't fit me!  LOL  Thanks again

I don't know why I didn't tell you about where to get some good clothes. And I just came from there...  I go to a second hand store.  The one by me has designer clothes with tags on them!!!  It's amazing, I get them and either send them to the cleaner or throw them in the washer.  I even started shopping at Once upon a child for toys and things for my grandbabies.  There are so many places out there.

Good Job Monica!!!

Yeah, what Deb said......nice pants that aren't denim, kahkis are ok.  Nice top, or polo shirt.  You probably already have what you need, I'll bet.  Now the question is.......does it fit???

If you must get something new, and now that you are down in size, you MAY find something at Wal-Mart, but didn't Lisa say that Kohl's was have ia HUGE sale?  I'll bet you could get some capri pants, or other summer weight pants there for next to nothing!

Tell someone that you love them!

Monica -
I would go with black slacks and a nice light weight sweater or top.  There is a consignment shop right acrossed the street from Fox Valley Mall that I've had a lot of luck finding clothes at.
Miejer, Kohls usually has decent selection.

Good Luck Girl!

Hi Monica

I don't know how tight money I but I would say go out and buy yourself something nice that fits.  You will feel better about your self and the confidence will show.  I say a nice pair of black pants and a pretty blouse (nothing too bright or busy) and a nice pair of black dress shoes.  Fix your hair nice, don't over do the make-up or the perfume.  Also, fix your nails.  I know someone that looks at that.  She feels if the person doesn't keep their nail nice and trimmed then she doesn't want them.  Weird, I know but now I pay attention to how my nails look.

Good luck, I hope you get the job.

A nice blazer, dress slacks and blouse. No jeans, jean shirts, sweats, perfume, flashy jewelry, no golf shirts, khaki's. You may be able to wear some of those things on the job but show a nice front first. You should be able to find the items I mentioned at Kohl's or TJ Max.

I would suggest some kind of a jacket--either a blazer, or a nice cardigan, or an unconstructed jacket, not a jacket for warmth. No denim, wear polished shoes or nubuck. This is what we used to call church clothes--not so much anymore where people wear clothes they clean the house in!
