Thursday Roll Call
Good Afternoon All!
WELCOME ANNIE!
You will love it here. Everyone is so friendly and has so much knowledge that they are willing to share. If it weren't for all these guys Im not sure I would have made it this far. They really helped me through my liquid diet phase. I was stressed about it too, and it went fine. There were days I thought I would eat cardboard if someone let me, but in the end, it was well worth it, especially to avoid an open surgery.
Today is my one month Surgiversary, I am down 34 pounds, and have been able to fit into some jean shorts I have been wanting to wear for awhile now. Hurray! I can notice it in my neck and face and a little on my upper body, now if we can work on the belly.............that would be great! I saw Dr. Wallace yesterday and he was happy with my progress and said I did not need to come back til December, right before my Disney trip. He said maybe I will be down another 30-40 pounds! That would be awesome!!!
This weekend is Brigid's 2nd birthday party. She loves Pooh, so it is a Pooh and Friends party. She will be sooo excited. We are just having a bunch of friends and family over for food and fun. I am making Paul's pulled pork, ( seems to be a favorite here!) (THANKS PAUL!), Kay's pretzel jello salad, and tomorrow I am making homemade meat sauce and meatballs for mostacholli for the kids. I was going to cater it all, because I cant eat much, but I Love to cook and everyone kind of expects homemade when they come here so ...........I am going to order the cake instead of baking at least, casue I could not keep my hands out of the batter or frosting. Sugar is BAD>>>> so stay away from the sugar....! I will go to Sams and get salads and rolls, and order the cake.
I am looking forward to having everyone over as this summer has been so dull with being in the hospital all summer practically. I hope the weather holds and we can be outside.
Today is cleaning and tomorrow is shopping and cooking!
