Good morning Illinois,

No I am not up this early.  I am up this late and had better get to bed soon before I eat to many calories.  Talk to you later today.

Randy

So you have been forgiven?

Good morning IL and good night Randy,
I am up early to get ready for my much anticipated iron infusion.  It's funny how your priorities change...I am in desperate need of energy and today is my day.  It takes about 8 hours to run through but I look at it as a "pool side retreat".  The accommodations are nice, private room with recliner, cable tv and radio, comfy pillow and blanket.  I pack a bag with library books, magazines, lunch and snacks.  There is no phone ringing or door bells ringing.  A nice peaceful day, ahhhh...
Hope that everyone has a great day.

HI Deb:
Although I've only had one infusion so far, I agree......in our busy lives, it is almost a treat to lay still and watch a movie or read a book.  Heck, even take a nap.  If it wasn't for the IV tube in the arm, it WOULD be a treat!

I hope you get your energy back soon, it took me almost 6 weeks after the infusion before I felt "normal" again.

Tell someone that you love them!

Good morning to you all!

I was surprised to see two posts already until I read them and realized they both had been written in the middle of the night. I've been tempted to do that before and maybe will next time I'm  up. I've been sleeping well lately and am grateful for that!

Yesterday was one of those days where the faster I went the "behinder" I got. Meetings that were rescheduled or that didn't happen. It was a weird day. I actually got home early and was glad to get a few extra moments to settle down. I've been knitting a pair of socks and I made some progress last night. I am  also in the middle of a difficult vest and a large storage bag, plus a couple of Christmas projects. I think I will spend the weekend trying to get a few things finished.

Have a good day everyone!

Hello there everyone

I'm here at work, like always.  I'm still doing good on my new healthy eating habits.  Have you ever noticed the minute you decide to start eating healthy everyone around you is eating the yummiest food.  I saw some one eating a hot roast beef sandwich and french fries yesterday.  It was all I can do to stop my self from tackling her and eating her food.  I also need to stop weighing myself.  I'm so worried  I will be gaining weight I keep checking.

Deb-  an iron infusion.  I'm still new here.  What is this?  It almost sounds like a spa you are going to or is this a medical procedure?

Birder-  I'm so jealous.  I always wanted to learn to knit but I was told because I'm left handed its hard to teach me.  I don't know how true this is.

Well see ya later.

Hi Crystal,
I'm sorry...I didn't mean to confuse you. It is a medical procedure, it's just that I have been feeling so tired lately that I am thinking of it as being a day at the spa...  My iron was down to 9.5, which is pretty low.  I usually have the iron infusions a few times a year.  I have always had "tired" blood, but since the wls it's been consistantly lower.
Congrats on not jumping for the beef sandwich.  It's really hard to have such good control.  Have a good day.

Good Morning my IL family,

I woke up with a headache today, it's only the 2nd one I've gotten since surgery and I used to get them all the time.  I think it's from my neck though, it was kinked before I went to bed last night.  I woke up to my house smelling wonderful already.  See I made Paul's pulled pork and it's been marinating since Tuesday night, so I put it in my delay start oven last night and it went on at about 2am to start the slow cooking it needs.  However, and I really hope I didn't mess it up, I forgot to reset the temp on the oven when I set the delay start, so for the 1st 4 hours it was cooking on 350!  Paul...did I mess up?  As soon as I got up at 6am, I reset it.

I have to run to Wally World today for milk and buns for dinner and also take the pups to the groomers for a nail trim. I usually do it myself but Phantom has a problem with one of the nails where the quick is coming out the back, it's weird and I am not cutting that myself.  Tonight it Jacob's open house at school so I will be there.

Have a great day everyone and enjoy the nice weather we are supposed to have.  Also keep everyone in Ike's path in your prayers, I have a friend in Texas who evacuated with her son yesterday but her hubby won't leave.  She's a wreck.

Monica,
I just bought the Peticure for my Ernie's nails and it's wonderful.  I don't know if you have seen in on any infomercial but it really works and I don't have to pay the vet, he is the only one who will do it for Ernie.  Ernie is very particular on who touches his nails...
